Are you going to be able to adjust to

3. I try not to diss any of our candidates,
especially in GD & GD/P. However, I must admit, that if any of the top three is the dem candidate, I will be voting against the repub candidate & for a chance of balancing SCOTUS.

I consider that being on the same side. Am I wrong?

4. Not to me...
I'm not thrilled with any candidates so far. And these alleged "cheap shots" they're doing on each other makes me less inclined to vote for them.

I believe, and this is just me, that the reasons we've done so poorly in the last 2 elections (dirty Repub tricks notwithstanding), is that we haven't fielded a candidate that "speaks" to the people. We've put no one up who is truly eloquent and able to gather friends and non-friends alike.

Sadly, and this speaks to the state of our country, Bush was voted for because he seemed "likeable". Not because he had experience or was good at his job, but because he gave people a "aw shucks, good old boy" and that just seemed to be perfect for the short attention span of the "People", "Readers Digest", "US magazine" folks out there.

5. Bill Maher said it best:
"When did we decide that we wanted Bubbha down the street for president?"

I'd be  if it weren't so damned

6. We're obviously *NOT* on the same side (on a great many issues).
We're obviously *NOT* on the same side (on a great many issues)
ranging from economics and poverty through foreign policy through
guns and violance and on to individual rights such as abortion,
gay rights, free speech, drugs, etc.

Sometimes, we make temporary coalitions to get something done.

I suspect some folks will just disappear from DU once it's over.
