HAWKEYE POLL HAS CLINTON LEADING IN IOWA
Edited on Fri Dec-28-07 12:46 PM by Tellurian

December 28, 2007 -- DENISON, Iowa - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is leading in Iowa six days before the caucuses, with John Edwards edging out Sen. Barack Obama, a new poll shows.

Clinton snares 31 percent of the Hawkeye State vote, while Edwards gets 25 percent and Obama is third at 22 percent among likely caucus-goers, an LA Times/Bloomberg poll released last night shows.

The poll shows Clinton's "experience"-heavy message in the state has been working - 79 percent of Democrats say they believe she's ready to be president, while just 43 percent believe that about Obama.

3. If Hillary wins Iowa..NH will follow..
Due to the unrelenting attacks from her rivals, they have boosted her numbers without Hillary lifting a finger!

16. It isn't my negativity, it is the facts. I will vote for whoever the Democratic nominee is
Edited on Fri Dec-28-07 01:04 PM by still_one
I am from California, and haven't made my mind up which Democratic I will vote for in the primary, but Hillary isn't on the top of my list, it is either obama or edwards

Actualy I am not thrilled with any of our candidates, but the main reason I will support whoever is the Democratic nominee is the Supreme Court

The best chance we have is if the repukes choose anyone but guliani

You are transparent - this is why you stated the poll was a toss up below.

All I can say is:

Wow.

32. I don't like Hilary, but I will vote for WHOEVER the Demcratic nominee is
I am also not thrilled with our choice of candidates, though the MSM will tell me that the Democrats are extremely satisfied with our choices

My actual preferences are Dodd or Richardson, but they won't even come close, so I will make a choice in the primaries between Edwards and Obama, because I am more unhappy with Hillary's position on the issues, then the other two.

2008 should have been a slam dunk election for the Democratic party in the executive branch race. The only way that will occur now is if the republicans don't nominate guiliani. If guiliani is nominated it is going to be much closer than I like to think about.

21. I think independent voters and the desire not to be upstaged by Iowa
will lead to Obama doing quite well in NH.

We'll see.

4. Obama's negative campaign attacks hurt him more than Hillary's negative attacks hurt her because he
promised to offer hope and to be a different type of politician but no one ever expected that she'd run a positive, hopeful campaign.

14. Hillary's attack is through her proxies calling obama a Muslim
then saying they didn't mean it in an insulting way

B.S. this is her attempt to appeal to the anti-Muslim sentiment in the U.S., and it most likely will succeed

this is the same thing as an attorney saying something in court, then the judge saying please disregard what was said

31. I really haven't decided, though in all honesty, I am NOT a Hillary fan
In this particular instance my point was, at least for Iowa and NH, that I don't think any side can claim a clear outcome

O, NO! WINFREY A DUD FOR OBAMA

By DAPHNE RETTER Post Correspondent

December 21, 2007 -- WASHINGTON - The "Oprah Effect" might be a "zer-O," two surprising new polls showed yesterday.

One in three New Hampshire women between the ages of 18 and 29 said the talk-show queen's recent campaign appearances with Barack Obama made them less likely to vote for the Illinois Democrat, according to a poll released yesterday by Zogby International and Lifetime Television.

At the other end of the age spectrum, 17 percent of women over 65 said Oprah's support lowered their opinions of Obama.

And 73 percent of women said it made no difference to their campaign choices at all.

Voters don't want "to have their entertainment figures involved in political support," Fritz Wenzel, director of communications at Zogby International, told the Chicago Sun-Times.

The poll found that Hillary Rodham Clinton is leading Obama 39-29 percent in New Hampshire, which on Jan. 8 will hold the nation's first primary election.

Yeah, I know. Poll is old and NY Post is a Murdoch product and he has the hots for Hillary and....yada yada yada!

you must have something important to add?
No?
Just the poll again?

Do you live under the illusion that something has not been posted until you do it? Or is this all the Hillarites have to bandy about these days?

30. yay
go Hillary.

I guess the other 15 polls that show her trailing can't always be right.
Anyone on ground will tell you what's happening.
Hillary's group of goofs took an insurmountable lead and managed to produce a three way tie/ possible loss.

I'm sure the DU posters did their part.
