Attempts on Gerald Ford's life suggest Bush I complicity
Seems that shortly prior to George H. W. Bush's appointment by Gerald Ford to head the CIA there were two attempts on the presidents' life.

Why pick on good ole Jerry Ford? Well it seems that Ford was a member of the Warren Commission cover up and needed to be "taught a lesson" by CIA spook "Poppy" Bush.

Normally it doesn't bother me when Republicans eat their own. However any attempt on a president's life must be considered suspicious. I didn't even want to see Ronald Reagan threatened with assassination.

Oh and when THAT happened, who do you suppose was waiting in the wings to see if Dutch would die so that HE could become president?

Then suddenly... George H. W. Bush gets appointed to run the CIA!

Bush served in this role for 355 days, from January 30, 1976 to January 20, 1977.

Senator Church viewed the Bush appointment in the context of a letter

sent to him by Ford on October 31, 1975,

demanding that the committee's report on US assassination plots against foreign leaders be kept secret. In Church's opinion, these two developments were part of a pattern, and amounted to a new stonewalling defense by what Church had called "the rogue elephant." Church issued a press statement in response to Ford's letter attempting to impose a blackout on the assassination report. "I am astonished that President Ford wants to suppress the committee's report on assassination and keep it concealed from the American people," said Church. Then, on November 3, Church was approached by reporters outside of his Senate hearing room and asked by Daniel Schorr about the firing of Colby and his likely replacement by Bush. Church responded with a voice that was trembling with anger. "There is no question in my mind but that concealment is the new order of the day," he said. "Hiding evil is the trademark of a totalitarian government." . Schorr said that he had never seen Church so upset.

3. You're ascribing causality where there is none.
Assassination attempt on Pres. Ford
Bush I made CIA director.
Therefore, Bush I caused assassination attempt

That doesn't make logical sense. It's like saying
At 5:30 a.m. this morning, I yelled out, "Sun! I command you to rise!"
Several minutes later, the sun rose.
Therefore, I caused the sun to rise.

7. Pure coincidence?
You guys think this country is a democracy?

Kind of naive to me.

Had to drop out though.

Just couldn't get my shoulders inside my a-hole.

Well I got slapped in the face, no it couldn't a been ruder

by a friend with a film from a guy named Zapruder.

Showed Kennedy's brains getting blown out the back

Seems the Warren Commission was hooked on crack.

And the F being I and all the TV and radio and

every newspaper on God's green earth.

Well the day JFK was blown away

Old George Bush was a workin in the CIA

And though E. Howard Hunt may have held the gun

George Bush Senior was surely the one who said

"Do it"!

Told them again during Watergate said

"Do it"!

Sold that slogan to Nike.

Forty years later I'm still preachin away

seems my head's still out in the light of day,

but people are still cryin, Kennedy's still dyin

and the TV's and the papers and the teachers still lyin

Seems it's still pretty dark out.

In the middle of the day.

Even if you don't have your head shoved up three miles up your own as-hole.

9. Just do the math
By the way, you're talking to an abstinent tea totaler here.

Again: Just do the math.

Two attempts on the prez's life right before the man closely associated with the murder of JFK gets nominated to run the CIA.

11. Why did it take so long to get an intelligent reply here?
The others get so many cards dealt face up and yet insist that anyone who believes JFK was killed by anyone other than Lee Harvey Oswald is a "conspiracy nut".

Why?

Shit the other side goes on for years thinking Vince Foster didn't have a suicide. And who the hell cares about Vince Foster? He didn't run the country even if he was murdered (which he wasn't).

Two significant attempts on a president's life that would have put a Rockefeller into the Oval Office.

Now wouldn't that have made a bunch of rich white capitalists happy?

And we get Ronald Reagan nearly shot dead by a goon whose family was tight with the Bush family.

And folks still think we have democracy...

Expect an assassination of John Edwards if he's nominated or running well in a few months. Just like RFK.

The powers that be can not afford a mistake like him.

And you know that Hillary will have a full court negative ad campaign run against her. She could easily get herself murdered by the GOP too.

13. People Are Afraid of the Implications
It's much easier to believe in one crazy, disconnected loner than in a conspiracy of crazy power-mad crooks with connections. Unless you are talking about the Godfather, or the Sopranos.

If the power-mad crook scenario takes root, then it means:

war in the streets and hopefully the common folk prevail due to sheer numbers
vast redistribution of wealth and power after the crooks are hung from the lamp posts
a chance to rebuild the nation the Founding Fathers envisioned

and that means risk, that means work, that means disruption and some deaths that shouldn't happen, and it means America comes out of its addicted, distracted state and starts to act like adults instead of over-privileged teenagers.

Yes, we are indeed cursed with living in interesting times, as the Chinese say. And their word for "crisis" is "dangerous opportunity".

14. I thought the naysayers were just being idiots
But you're actually saying (albeit somewhat indirectly) that they're almost about as forgivable as Republicans who listen to Rush Limbaugh. That even most of our fellow Democrats can't take responsibility over the situation. Because it scares the hell out of them.

So they live lives of comfortable delusion.

I say Lee Harvey Oswald is innocent. Even the Zapruder film has been doctored by an amateur. http://www.assassinationscience.com/johncostella/jfk/intro/fast.html Look at the woman on the other side of the street from the president's limo: She'd have to be seven ft. tall in real life!

And the people in the car move far too quickly. The driver moves like lightning. Turning, making sure the president is dead and then driving off fast.

The Zapruder film editing doesn't show the driver coming to a complete stop as witnesses observed.

The people on the front side of the street do no move at all!

Eyewitnesses overwhelmingly reported that, during the assassination, the limousine braked suddenly and came to a stop, before accelerating away again. Some people have also seen another film of the assassination—not yet seen by the public—which shows this stop very clearly. But Zapruder’s film doesn’t show the limousine stopping at all! It just keeps on driving down Elm Street the entire time.
