12. He's used 'never-never land' before....
re: health care and insurance companies and seemed to be directing at Obama then too. Personally... I prefer "la-la land" but to each his own. :)

7. Obama seems to understand the situation more than Edwards
based on what i have seen. i wasn't impressed by Edwards at all.

it could be because Obama is on the foreign relations committee.

This is too serious to be distorting people's words or intentions. Post the exact quote or don't post anything at all.

15. your headline is misleading
The article posted doesn't say in what context he used the term "never never land."

This is from the article:

In a wide-ranging, free-wheeling interview with Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards with ABC News Friday afternoon, the former North Carolina senator labeled "ridiculous" comments made by the Obama campaign that seemed to link former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto's assassination to Sen. Hillary Clinton's vote to authorize the use of force against Iraq, embraced Sen. Barack Obama's politics over Clinton's, and said an anti-Obama flier from a pro-Clinton union was "misleading" and "deceptive."

25. I agree the headline was misleading and may I add that I also
think it was purposefully so. That kind of crap drives me nuts. They tried this over some young buck statement the other day. I'm white and I live in the NE and young buck has always referred to young men no matter their color. I hate this race baiting kinda stuff!!!!

13. This is misleading and has nothing to do with Pakistan
Edited on Fri Dec-28-07 05:39 PM by liskddksil
These comments regard lobbying reform not the situation in Pakistan and were not directed at a specific candidate. "Any candidate who thinks he or she can invite corporate America to the table and achieve real results for Americans "is living in never-never land."

16. I would like to see an alternative from Edwards that says how he'll
get rid of corporate greed, as he promised.

I don't think that's a promise he can keep.

33. How can anyone end "corporate greed"?
Edited on Sat Dec-29-07 04:31 PM by Beaverhausen
What we need is someone who will end corporate influence, which is what Edwards said.

Most corporations - and their stockholders- will be greedy. No one can do anything about that.

19. All 3 frontrunners dont care about Pakistan
One wanted to flaunt international law to bomb it, another said there shouldn't be elections because Pakistanis would elect extremists (which get about 5% in parliament, mr. edwards), the third assured us she was even more hawkish than the first two.

Sorry, they don't care. This war of words is just shallow rhetoric and the United States of Amnesia will forget about them in a couple of weeks.

20. YOU ARE A BALD FACED LIAR - NOTHING TO DO WITH PAKISTAN
Edited on Fri Dec-28-07 06:19 PM by LSK
Friday morning at a forum for undecided voters in Independence, Iowa, Edwards repeated his implicit criticism of Obama, saying any candidate who thinks he or she can invite corporate America to the table and achieve real results for Americans "is living in never-never land."

So he believes Barack Obama lives in never-never land?

"If he believes that, yes," Edwards said. "It's a little hard for me to tell sometimes based on the way he talks about this. I've heard him say he would give stakeholders a seat at the table. I assume he's talking about oil companies, drug companies and insurance companies."
