1. They're all the same kind of stupid, so maybe their numbers are just that close.

2. Pat Paulsen should jump in.
Sure he's dead, but this is the year he just might win.

4. I have a question. I can't/don't/won't spend any time on the Dark Side Forums, so
am not really in tune with the base of the Republican mindset. Not trying to stir up a hornet's nest here, but I'm honestly curious: Given that there is a huge undercurrent of 'anybody but Hillary' here at DU .. is there a Republican nominee that their "base" is particularly mobilized against? I hope I've framed the question so it's understandable.

6. Believe it or not, freepers aren't fond of Huckleberry
They don't like the Ghoul or McLame either, but they really seem to be interested in taking down Huckleberry. Huckleberry doesn't really appeal to all of the GOP base. He appeals to evangelicals who vote on abortion and gays, but not to the anti-state right wingers.

Freepers seem to be big supporters of Grampa Fred.

5. They haven't yet received the data download direct from FoxNoise to their cranial computer chip.
Nothing computes until the message is received telling them how to think.

7. If my mom is any kind of barometer...
... the republicans definitely have lost interest in their candidates. Mom is right-wing and stays tuned-in to current events and politics. She used to strongly defend Bush but won't even do that anymore and, I think, that has spilled over to dampen her enthusiasm for any of the repugs. When I brought up the Iowa caucus, she said she didn't care cause she didn't like of of the candidates. I think this is probably a wide-spread feeling among the gopers.
