Will Hillary or Obama...
... do better in the Heartland and the South, compared to Edwards, when going against a Republican in the general election?

A simple question.

I say no way and I also say that the Democratic Party would be foolishly mistaken to think so.

This country is not progressive enough to support a woman or an African American for Prez.
It just isn't.

We are, but we know better because we inform and enlighten ourselves.
The masses?...No way.

p.s....I hope I am wrong.

2. I hope that's not our party's strategy
You're correct. We can win without it, but I'd rather see us win with it.

8. The midwest
I don't know. I HOPE a majority of voters in those states wouldn't be that racist or sexist.

4. Maybe, just maybe, this country is just sick of what's been going
on and is thirsting for change. That's just as believeable to me.

6. If you think Edwards in going to take the south if he's the nom,
you're sadly mistaken. Neither will Clinton or Obama, but at least if either of them is the nominee, they'll be able to fight back against the repuke slime machine. JE won't have the resources.

9. "Whoever gets the democratic nomination will be the next president"

You started that thread just Sunday. Why you are you so concerned about JE's resources?

10. I think his lack of resources means that he'd have to struggle the
hardest- and we'd have to struggle along with him. But yes, ultimately I see this field of repuke candidates as so flawed and damaged that I believe that the winner of the dem nomination has a huge advantage.

Now why not ask the OP why he's so skeered of bigots?
