Poll question: How much do you think Hillary's display of her ignorance re: Pakistan will hurt her in Iowa
these final two days before the caucus? It's going to be hitting the news hard, looks like all the candidates are mentioning it and the media is really running with it.

Looks bad for her.

Well Gosh, just because some conservative noticed it first I guess I should just ignore the fact that she was wrong?

Oh my goodness. I'm not trying to start any wars here tonight or anything, but wow, watch out if you level any criticism, eh?

Foreign policy is my #1 issue because my husband is Active Duty Army and deployed to Iraq right now. That is why such a misstep is a big deal to me. :)

Peace! It's all I want! Trust me! Here and in the world at large.

Happy New Year.

Of course she has been so busy running for president that maybe she didn't have the time to recognize what was going on with the Pakistani elections of Parliament. It isn't as if Pakistan is in the news....

10. We already know that they[Hill-Haters]are a generally ignorant group.
Appears to be a mistake...since they examine all words and periods and commas with a microscope...but then with comprehension come the dawn...so to speak.

Not really a mistake at all. Clark gets called for that all the time...many of our folk cannot understand complete sentences and coherent paragraphs.

"He could be the only person on the ballot. I don't think that's a real election,"

PRoblem is he will not be on the ballot. The friggin parliament will be on the ballot. It's a Parliamentary election. Get it, yet?

He can't be the only person on the ballot if he is not even running....plus which lots of people's names WILL be on the ballot who ARE running for Parliament.

Rolls eyes....

This is a complete non-issue - or at least it should be. For all purposes, Pakistan is electing a leader. We know it. They know it.

Did Australians vote for Kevin Rudd over John Howard? No... but everyone knew that they were choosing Rudd as PM.

This is a whole bowl of nothing.

13. It depends on whether any reporters ask her about it.
If they don't, it won't get on the teevee and it will be like it didn't happen.

It was a careless mistake, but it's the kind of mistake that the MSM usually dogs a candidate with - unless the candidate is GW Bush, of course.

34. Musharraf IS on the ballot.......
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pervez_Musharraf

State of Emergency 2007

On November 3, 2007, Musharraf declared a State of emergency in Pakistan to postpone the ongoing case of his re-election, of which impact is most likely to decline his already low popularity even further. By suspending the constitution and sacking many judges including former Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry and welcomed the returns of fomer Pakistani Prime Minsters Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif on December 15, 2007 Musharraf ended the state of emergency restoring the country's constitution, the move has been welcomed by Pakistan's western allies United States of America and the UK which have providing Pakistan with money to put into its industry and economy. The move came just in time for the January 8 elections featuring Ms Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party and Mr Sharif's PML-N and Mr Musharraf's party. UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown said the move was a significant step towards the return of full constitutional order and said that January's elections must be free, fair and transparent. However, following the December 27th assassination of Bhutto, this temporary stability has been severely jeopardized.

Get it? Three parties - one of them is Musharraf's party. But hey, ferget it. Facts will only confuse everything, eh?

on through....Hillary is the Republicans candidate of choice....she'll bring every single republican and many moderates out to vote against her , along with many, many democrats who'll just stray home or vote third party....I'm one and I know many others who won't vote for Hillary the moderate....republicans (RNC) know this and want her badly to be the democratic nominee....surely the republicans don't want to face John Edwards....Hillary will be much easier to target in the general election with tons of negatives.

Your own candidate isn't qualified enough to run on his/her own merits so instead you yell with righteous indignation at how badly the other candidates are.

A little more practice, and your push-poll can get endorsed by the GOP, too.

(I've read enough of your posts to infer that your a much better person than your OP illustrates... c'mon-- in these last days and weeks of the primaries, couldn't we start acting like adults?)
