As an Obama supporter, I have to thank Dennis Kucinich
for understanding how necessary is for this country to have a president willing to implement changes, and to see that in Barack Obama.

Thanks, Dennis. I personally will never forget this act of good faith, and America won't as well.

1. actually kucinich isn't throughing in the towel
i think he is triangulating, put his support behind obama in iowa so that edwards does not get it. hopefully weakining his campaign so that kucinich can grap more of the people who actually want change in the other caucuses.

20. A lot of worry over nothing...
Dennis hasn't enough supporters in Iowa to get worried about.

That's what happens when you don't bother to campaign.

11. Not now. He has decided to support Obama, and that's
the best thing he could have done in this primary season.

16. Are you named "MalloyLiberal" because of Mike Malloy?
If so, you are way off base. Mike likes Dennis a LOT. You seem to be more in the Michael Savage mold.

14. I'll take a Kucinich "endorsement" over a Nader endorsement anyday
I very much respect Dennis Kucinich and have always found his supporters to be genuine, intelligent, friendly, politically saavy people. Many I've met are also fairly spiritual sans the organized religion schtick as well.

Dennis means well for this country and I'm sure that Barack Obama would love to have him in his administration to help oversee healthcare reform or act as a liason with changing the template on how America is viewed internationally.

I salute Dennis and all his supporters with a tear in my eye. This is just the beginning of what might just be the best America can do and be.

21. why of course we are!
it would be nice to have a real discussion with out the children in the room about what each candidate can bring to the table. i find the ridicule of any candidate and their supporters a waste of time and does nothing to advance the discussion the issues that face every american no matter what party they belong to. i`m a realist who knows dennis has`t a chance in hell to win but to ignore his ideas is to doom the progress we need in this nation. he`s the only true progressive we have and those who ridicule him shows how little they really understand or care about the history of the democratic party.
i salute all the people like you who go out and walk the walk for your candidates...bundle up it`s cold out there in iowa tomorrow!

15. People on this site have generally held DK up as the progressives progressive...
and his statement gives Obama some credibility there, or shields him somewhat. I think the effect is greater than the number of Iowa DK supporters he might get.

22. i have to admit
since i heard the liqued coal stuff and the homophobic stuff I have steared away from obama, but since DK is saying go for him i gotta do a gut check and do a little more reaserch, even if I love DK im still not gonna do anything blindly.

17. He loves our country as he's professed and proved time and time again, and
is putting his support with someone else who does as well. That's not to say others don't, but this could be the least political move Kucinich has made. Maybe he also feels Obama at a visceral level; they both want to do the right thing.

I wish BO was more to the DK left than he is, but the character of these two men is outstanding, and I would be proud to vote for either one.

25. Dennis is being utterly stupid politically
His only hope is a brokered convention, and to get that you should back the third place candidate among the top three. He let being pissed at Edwards for trying to limit debate participation to the frontrunners get in the way of thinking strategically.

He's sold out on all his positions to try and stay relevant.
A very sad day for Progressives.
