Trying To Figure Out Why I Like My Guy, Joe Biden
Why have I decided to support the fellow I do? His positions are not far different than the others in the race. Put together a matrix and you'll find that on any major issue there are at least two of our candidates who have essentially the same position In general I don't think any of the would-be-nominees are dishonest people; there isn't a one of them that I would not vote for in the General Election. So what was it about my guy? I could not answer that question myself before this morning, but it has finally occurred to me. Biden listens.

When Joe Biden is asked question "A" he does not respond by shifting the answer to question "B". When Joe Biden tells you what his policy is he goes on so you will know how he arrived at it. Vast experience on matters domestic and international, the man is no one-trick-pony. He does not play the religious card and he does not play the fear card, he respects the rights of women and understands personal pain.

That's it. As long as Joe Biden stays in the race I am with him and I will try to convince others to support him as well.

7. I like to post about the stuff that Joe won't talk about, but it's good stuff to know
People bitch about Joe's vote on the IWR in 2002, hell I have. But do people know he made that vote knowing that his son Beau is in the Delaware Army National Guard and could feasibly be called up to service. Beau, who also happens to have been elected Attorney General of Delaware in 2006, will be heading over in the spring of 2008. I'm sure Beau could have pulled strings but the Biden family serves when they are called to go.

8. He does listen,
You can see it in his face when he's talking one-on-one with someone. He cares, too. He's a straight shooter. If he's our nom, there will be no more up is down, black is white bullshit. He is without a doubt our very best hope of bringing this divided country together.

12. Perfect choice of words
I've become rather cynical about politicians, but when Biden he always comes across as "genuine". It jumps out at me. Then I listen to what he says and I become a more informed person. Following Biden has been an education.
