This campaign is doing what every newbie to the scene normally does. Talk about change, but doesn't offer much of anything to back it up. Just platitudes, generalities, etc. And spreading crap about other campaigns. Yeah, this is really "change you can believe in"---NOT!!!

BILL RICHARDSON 2008!!!!!

1. Do you have any proof at all that the Obama campaign is spreading rumors?
It doesn't seem like anybody can provide any?

9. A national Obama staffer..Proff enough?
Off-the-bus spoke with a national Obama staffer who confirmed, "We've heard that Richardson may also be telling his supporters to caucus for Barack if they aren't viable. Nothing definitive but there's a trend going on," she added with a smile. Ah, that's an understatement.

All of this off-the-record conversation and backroom pol talk could be nothing or something.

But the fact that the rumors are flying and top aides are willing to discuss their thinking with Offthebus, albeit without disclosing their names, is still enough smoke to detect yet another spark that could ignite a fire under the Obama campaign's fortunes in the Iowa caucuses.

13. So an Obama staffer repeated a rumor. Doesn't mean the campaign started it.
Rumors spread like wildfire. Could've been started by the Edwards campaign to scare Clinton, or vice versa. Could've been started by Republican operatives who want to damage Clinton's or Edward's confidence.

14. She's apparently repeating something she heard
Where's the negativity in that? I'm sure there are tons of rumors flying around - everyone's desperate for information, I would guess. Which ones the press wants to repeat are up to the press.

15. So you have no proof the Obama campaign started the rumor
Thanks!

16. No it is not proof enough
Somebody hears a rumor, repeats a rumor, hears a rumor, repeats a rumor, and on and on. The only official word from the Obama campaign is that it is not true there are these deals.

In addition, a rival campaign could be the source in an effort to alienate Biden or Richardson or their supporters from Obama, just as easily as anything else. Someday we will know, but as of now, all we have is rumor.

4. Change and Hope are often viewed by status quo as negatives
There's too much shit flying on DU, especially from the usual suspects, to take anything seriously. Out in the real world on the ground, people know the truth.

Dead end fear based politics are finished.
