The irony of fearing the "Clintons are back"
There are many who do not want the Clintons back in the White House, for different reasons.

However, it is acceptable, even by (honest) Republicans, that if Bill Clinton were allowed to run for a third term, he would have won in 2000. After all, he left with the highest approval rating of any president.

So why the angst about them being back there?

6. That's it.
Hillary is not Bill. Hillary's campaign brags that Bill will be around to prop her up. I find this disturbing.

15. BINGO
Hillary is a great candidate and an excellent Senator.

But Bill Clinton comes along once in a lifetime. He is so charismatic. Hillary just does not remotely approach Bill in any level.

2. I wouldn't want Bill Clinton back.
It's time to move on. And frankly, I can't stand the thought of years more of Clinton melodrama (real or manufactured) 24/7. I don't want to see the return of a cast of characters like Carville and McCauliff. I don't want to see the DNC headed by Harold Ford.

3. Please understand the Media and very few Elites are the ones
who have the angst. The poor babies want something different.
Of course when they get something different then they have problems
with him.

5. They're older and richer now
and they've been hanging out with a lot of wealthy people for eight years. It's unrealistic to expect them to be anything more than a less satisfying and less effective version than what they were before, from the standpoint of operating an accountable government and fighting for progressive legislation and causes.

12. Bill balanced the budget and we could use someone like that now.
Yeah, a lot of people were hurt, but how the hell can you balance the huge deficit we'll be left with...especially after another year of bush? anyone who thinks new faces with no backing can do a better job than the Clintons is dreaming. No, Bill won't be president, but he'll certainly be an important influence and I think Hillary is more liberal than he is/was.

I also know that the Clinton's back in the white house will really get their goat...that gives me much pleasure! I hope they just die in pain and wither away in tears and sorrow. I'll be laughing all the way to the polls as we put the shiv in their back and turn it with the lever.

14. I can definitely understand that reasoning.
And if HRC gets the nomination, I will vote for her knowing that I get to give a big 'fuck you' to the repubs, and I will hope that the Clintons wont let me down.

You know... I didnt give a damn about his indiscretions. I didnt think it was any of my business. And the way the Rs ran with it *really* pissed me off. But as Bill was the very first President I was ever eligible to vote for... he broke my heart when he looked in that camera and lied.

I feel like if Hillary wants to forgive him for what he did to her, thats her business. But I wonder if she's also forgiven him for lying to us? I dont know, but it scares me.

I think these last 7 years of being lied to have just really made me fell that a President lying to the entire country is an unforgivable offense. We already know that Bill can do it, seemingly with ease. And Im just sick and tired of it.

19. But I thought it was Greenspan who forced him to do balance the budget
He wanted to do more spending and Greenspan sort of politiely threatened him, is the story that's been told recently.

9. the simple truth is that 7 years of Repug propaganda has brainwashed many Democrats.
I have said it over and over, that the intelligence of the average Democrat is no greater or less thna the average Republican. That is no great thing. You put any average human under 7 years constant propaganda and they are going to begin believing the most of it, they cannot remember not hearing it, therefor it must be true. That is basic, simple human nature. But knowing that does not in the slightest allay the discomforting urge to take a ballbat to their fucking skulls! ;)

11. When Bill gave Chimp a pass on the yellowcake
That was it for me. Finding out Hillary was the one ranting "stay the course" in 2003, 2004 just sealed it. Although I could write a book as to why the Clintons are no friends to Democrats.

The sooner people start realizing that, the sooner we can all move on with the future of this country. We have term limits for a reason.
