Obama 5-1 over Hillary among Young Voters?
Obama 5-1 over Hillary among Young Voters?
by Mike Connery, Thu Jan 03, 2008 at 08:56:03 PM EST

CNN just reported that young voters are in fact showing up - perhaps 25% of all caucus-goers, which would be a higher share of the electorate than young people actually comprise (22% of the population).

That would be huge - better than expectations - and if true would probably put to rest a lot of my fears about the media disparaging youth turnout (regardless of whether or not Obama actually pulls out a win).

Update <2008-1-3 21:9:34 by Jonathan Singer>: From MSNBC reading the entrance polls, 57 percent of Obama's support comes from 17-29 year olds. Yeah. Wow is right.

1. Well I'll be danged
That is awesome. I figured he would have to rely on those middle aged voters, but this is good news. I'm glad the young people are getting active.

3. Yeah, we knew that from the polling breakdowns.
They knew they had the students and made sure they got there. Good work.

The hatchet job presenting Hillary as ancien regime has worked its magic.

6. Obama deserves it. Hillary deserves it.
Hillary's campaign derided young voters.
