Can we stop pretending Obama's race will hurt him now?
Obama won handily in Iowa, a largely rural state in which only 2.5% of the population is black. He won an overwhelming majority of independents.

1. Electability has been a phony issue from the start.
Whomever we choose is the next president.

I do NOT choose Obama. I liked him but thought he was green. Now I don't like him.

2. Watching the caucus on CSPAN it was a sea of white people
cheering for Obama. Pretty cool.

3. While I'd like to believe it .... even though I'm not a Obama supporter
I don't think the relatively minuscule percentage of the American electorate, who voted in the Iowa Dem caucuses tonight, are representative of those who will vote in the GE. But, time will tell. I hope you're right. And, that if the Dems want Obama for their nominee they will nominate him, regardless of race or gender, and support him fully.
