Obama is 46 and has plenty of time. Hillary is 60... she's worked sooo hard throughout her life and has had amazing achievements on her own (many of which occurred before Bill ever came in the picture). If anyone deserves it, she does. A perfect scenario would be Hillary at the top of the ticket, with Obama as VP.

1. that scenario may well happen
and it would put Obama in the perfect position to run as a strong and seasoned incumbent after 8 years of sanity, fiscal responsibility, a better image for America overseas and an economy that's once again truly strong.

16. If Hillary is the Nominee
and she offers the spot to Obama, do you think he's not politically ambitious and intelligent enough to accept it? Do you honestly believe he'd choose being one of 99 sitting Senators to being the Vice President of the United States?

17. I think his ego is that out of control
I could be wrong --but that's how I read him.

18. I hope I'm wrong
but I think you could be right.

Right now he reminds me of that runner who, once the gun goes off, sprints to the top of the pack and considers himself the Leader, unaware that it's a twenty mile race and the more experienced runners are right at his heels pacing themselves fully aware that the race has just begun.

And I suspect he'll be the one who, with the finish line in sight, watches the more experienced runner breeze by him, running strong with gas still in the tank while he struggles.

3. You don't know what the situation will be in eight years.

Now is the best time for Obama to be running. The incumbent is unpopular; the VP is not running for president; and there are no great candidates on the Republican side. Moreover, Obama's personality stands in stark contrast to that of the current, unpopular president. These are all factors that make an Obama victory likely in 2008. The situation will probably be quite different in 2016.

Furthermore, if one really thinks Obama is the right person to lead the country out of the mess it's in right now, Obama's age is irrelevant, and it's stupid to want to wait eight years. Obama certainly thinks he's the right person for the job, and so do I.

7. I, personally, do not believe Obama is capable of leading this
nation out of the peril in which the Bushistas have embroiled us. I believe Hillary will prevail and I hope Wes Clark is her VP of choice. We are all aware of the problems that arise when a cabinet is expected to carry the water for a sitting President; who, by himself, is just incapable of discerning the complicated world scene. Too many charlatans are able to muddy the water and chaos prevails.

9. You haven't read Obama's books, have you?
If you had, you wouldn't be implying that Obama would be "incapable of discerning the complicated world scene." It is because I've read both of his books that I know he is probably the only one of the top three candidates who is intelligent and politically gifted enough to get things done.

Go out and read his books. They're the best way to find out more about Obama, as they were written by Obama himself -- not by some ghost writer.

4. Nobody deserves to be President. It is not an inheritance or an entitlement.
The President should be the best person for the job.
Regardless of Age, Gender, or Race.

6. Funny, I'd like to see a Democratic woman as President, but not Hillary at this time. I think she
should have waited until 2012 to have run. She'd have been older and hopefully, wiser. It would have allowed a break between the Bush and Clinton reigns that the country needs right now.

8. You must be kidding. She would be almost seventy then.
Frankly, after Reagan, I do not want anyone much over sixty to run. Too damn scary.

10. I want her to win, but not due to her age.
I want her to win because I think that she would be a terrific president.

As for Obama, he's too slick, too smooth. I don't trust him, nor do I think that he's ready to lead at this point in time. Too much "audacity of hope", too little substantive issues.

14. Yep, that's the word!!
Why else would a senator with less than 2 years under his belt think that he was ready to lead the last remaining world super power???? Arrogance comes to mind.......

15. Well I don't really want to have that word stick with Obama.
I guess I should start saying that he is arrogant.

12. That's what I've been saying for a long time.
Eight years as VP would make him the perfect choice and insure Dems 16 more years of control, glory and a big change in direction. If Obama wins...it's totally up in the air for the last 8 years.

Besides I want to irk the Rethugs...especially the twit, Chris Matthews.
