Tonight's Debate Winner!

American voters! Okay, that's the cheesey answer. Who I think won is as follows:

Barack Obama and John Edwards both were on point, clear and concise, and hand a good handle of the issues. I think they both clearly won. Obama looked very presidential and I was finally impressed by his debate performance. He had command of issue details, issued clear policy distinctions, and didn't accept distortions on his record. Edwards was generally successful at trying to push Hillary out of the race and speaking for change and the middle class. In general, Obama and Edwards seemed to be a tag-team, being respectful of each other and, in a subtle way, trying to edge the other on issues of change, lobbyists, and corruption. John was very passionate and clear. Both at times were witty and both, I think, won.

Richardson was generally good and occasionally had very key points. I think his constant accusation of "attacks" when policy distinctions are being made is a tired strategy in the eyes of viewers. Voters are wise enough to differentiate policy distinctions from personal attacks.

Hillary had good points, but generally seemed tired and, especially at one moment, shrill when her buttons were pushed. In my personal opinion, she had a defeated mentality about her.

Generally, I believe the debate furthered the notion that this election is about change and the status quo has been rejected. I believe it will greatly help Edwards' strategy of making it a race between him and Obama. Obviously that doesn't mean Hillary is out of it, but together they are gradually decreasing her relevance.

I agree with you on Obama and Edwards somewhat, but I'm starting to lean toward Edwards.

Thought Obama stuttered a lot. I've been eager to see/hear him after Iowa. He disappointed me a little.

Richardson was at times annoying -- except for that last answer on regrets. Hilarious.

Hillary did fine, but didn't necessarily ADD to her percentage points.

Hillary keeps talking about 'who is ready to take over The Oval Office from day one'...I think it's Edwards.

Hillary was supposedly always supposed to be the calm seasoned one, but when Edwards when after her in regards to status quo, her reaction was like HOW DARE YOU QUESTION ME?!?!?!! She looked so enraged, it was a real turnoff.

Why shouldn't she speak up for herself??? He labels her as status quo and she is suppose to smile demurely like a good little girl???

Who said she shouldnt speak up for herself? The way I read her body language and her eyes, not exactly her words, it just looked like she was about to lose control with anger. I think its very hard for the Clintons to deal with not being in first place.

Unfortunately, they may tire of them, but all evidence points to the fact they don't differentiate between the two...:(

Clinton was excellent and she looked Presidential. Was Edwards even there?

Presidents dont lose their cool like that in public.

just checked and my checking account has been sucked dry by mortgage/heating bill/medical co-pays automatic payments and checks sent.

So, I'll just make calls tomorrow to NH and send money next time I get paid.

It really sucks that there are a handful of folks out there that could right a check for tens of millions of dollars to any campaign they want and not think twice about it, while the rest of us (who actually PRODUCE) are left having to scrape up whatever little amount they can.

Remind me again why tax breaks for the wealthy and corporate welfare is good? Oh, that's right, it's only good if you're one of them.

Or even if he comes close to 2nd.
