Hands- down winner in tonights Dem debate
God love him.

Every one of the `candidates and even Charles Gibson plagiarized tonight from Joe's messages over the past months. Joe's legacy to the campaign - they STILL agree with Joe.

Richardson was the most blatant, repeating a couple of times the line about needing to fix Iraq to allow us to move forward on various domestic issues.

Tonight they all understand Pakistan's importance, unlike a few weeks back when Joe had to drag them off of Iran and its army being terrorists.

But when Charles Gibson said "God love you all" I think it was intentional, and was a tribute to Joe.

God love ya, Charlie!

1. I missed it when Charlie said God love you all - damn!
I was thinking they were all missing Joe when it came to foreign policy.
They would bumble their answer, then Joe would have his turn and then they would all say Joe was right.

They couldn't do that tonite :(

I really missed the passion and humor he brings.

2. I will say based upon the double teaming that obama and
edwards tried to pull off tonight did not succeed. HRC saw it coming and answered strong to the challenge issued by edwards. HRC scored points on this double team. Oh it is easy to get all wrapped up in edwards family history and that is his raison d'etre but that can only take you so far. HRC was there pin pointing things that she had done throughout her life and would continue to make changes for others. The one thing that I find so honorable about HRC in her life's work, she has not benefited monetary wise from helping others.

Obama and I know I will get heat by saying this from the obama folks but that is alright, he obama looked and sounded lackluster in his performance. At times his answers where rambling and incoherent, and to be a lil' silly here, he reminded me tonight of bob dole giving the republican response to president clintons state of the union in 1996, and he like obama tonight came across as the National Director of Morticians.

21. Dear BenDavid...I love your posts..
To the point, succinct and nail on head. My heart is empty and cannot watch any of them. Joe was the "act" people were waiting for in these debates, his wonderful zingers, tell them they were wrong/nuts and make them feel good about it, etc. I have no doubt a Dem will win, but what lousey choices....

3. They were saying this in 2003
If you want to say the fixing Iraq to allow us to fix domestic issues was stolen from somebody, then it was stolen from Dennis Kucinich because he's the one who said it way back in 2003, and Kerry said it repeatedly since then.

13. Plagiarizing Joe's message?
I thought surely you would remember that this stuff was all said 4 years ago.

18. It's was tongue 'n cheek -
Kinda a joke.

A day didn't pass around here over the last 11 months where one of us didn't have to explain what happened in '88
when Biden was accussed of being a plagiarist.

We have all been laughing about that and the other things that we would have to deal with on a daily basis around here.
We've been saying how that is the only good thing about Biden being out of the race.

You know how ridiculous things can get.

20. Oh, sorry I didn't get the joke
I have tried to stay out of Biden and Edwards stuff for the most part, out of respect for you and Saracat. I probably missed 90% of whatever was thrown at you. Sorry.

9. Well, I guess if you're going to pay tribute to Joe Biden
plagiarism is a good way to do it.

10. I could respond to you with an equally insulting comment about your candidate - but I won't.
Dennis, Mike, Chris and Joe all got a big f-u from the msm, and now they are doing it to Edwards.

It may be time to put aside some of our differences and take a look at what is going on here.

14. I missed Biden (and Dodd as well) too
But one could not help but wonder during the debate what Biden would have contributed to the Pakistan/nuclear arms debate. We will never know. And that's OUR loss.
