I watched the entire debate, and I think all our nominees did well.
Any of them would be many orders of magnitude better than any of the Republicans that took the stage before them. They all showed an understanding of the issues and more importantly of the American people that the Republicans lack.

I don't think there is any way in the world any of them could be beat by a Republican in November.

They all had their strengths and weaknesses, but the most obvious thing was how whoever gets nominated will be very different than the Republican they face. Americans will have a clear choice this year. I don't think the Republicans stand a chance.

I do have to add especially against Obama, of course. :-)

3. It very well could become a race between Obama and Edwards, in the end.

I thought Edwards did very well tonight stating his case. Someone said he went on a run before the debate, maybe that's why he seemed more energetic than the rest.

I understand the points Edwards is making, but I still think Obama is the better candidate to more effectively bring change in Washington for a variety of reasons. For one thing, I think Obama will get a lot more people involved in the process. For another, he is the best orator. That is important. Change will only come if the people are inspired to make it happen.

There's also some problems I have with Edwards record...the war vote, etc. Not that he would not be a good candidate, but when I compare him and Obama I must give the nod to Obama.

2. Agreed, about the debate as a whole.
Not about the especially against Obama bit, though :P: (I'll see you Obama and raise you Edwards :hi:)

I suffered through the Republican debate, and the contrast was telling. The grownups are definitely the Democrats!

4. I prefer Edwards, but I think all four tonight acquitted themselves well.
Richardson lost the debate, IMO - but not by much...

5. Like night and day.
Watching the GOP was like watching a bunch of high school amateurs at their first Forensics club debate. Unfortunately Charles didn't ask them many hard-hitting questions. It was like he was handicapping them. The Dems got way more substantive questions, because it's obvious they are equipped to handle them. I wish they would go with a format at these debates where they ask all the candidates the same questions, to really put the differences on display.

6. Yes. All our candidates gave a strong performance
Any of them will usher in a much more positive era for America, and each of them showed real ability that can win a Presidential campaign against any of the Republicans, yes even McCain.

8. I thought Richardson did well and made some valid points.
He argued his case well as being the only governor up there with executive experience.

All the candidates have their own strengths. It will be interesting to see if Richardson chooses to endorse another candidate if he withdraws from the race at some point.
