Be careful hillary when bringing up the lobbyist issue...
Edited on Sun Jan-06-08 01:49 PM by Windy
you have openly stated in early televised debates that lobbyists work for people in this country and have touted their worth.

I believe that if you go down this route with Obama and Edwards, you will be made to look the hypocrite.

and before politics was the business of the Clinton family, I believe that corporate law was their bread and butter.

2. Well hell, at least HRC said she received donations from
lobbyists and obama lied to ya folks all along saying something different....

"lobbyists, whether you like it or not, represent real Americans. I don't think based on my fighting for what I believe in anybody seriously believes I am going to be influenced by a lobbyist or a particular interest group," Clinton

7. terisan....Obama didn't say it was a lie...HE didn't say a word.
I took that as Hillary was telling the truth about a olobbyist for drug companies running his campaign.

6. You do realize that the BULK i.e. vast majority of obama's money has come from small donations
from ordinary citizens. Hillary can't make that claim.

"small donations" to be $2299 or less, and even then these account for barely half.

See also:

http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/donordems.asp?cycle=2008

which shows that only 25% of his donations came from people donating $200 or less.

http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/donordems.asp?filter=A&sortby=S

which shows that 49% of his $$ came from people donating $2300 or more, which is higher than for any remaining Dem. except Clinton.

It's still lower than for most remaining Rethugs.

3. The lobbying is only part of it. Obama said "the thing that is not so"
Obama could have said what you said about Hillary being a hypocrite and all. Instead, he denied something that was true. And he didn't follow it up later, so it raises the question of whether he knew he was hit and decided to write it off in the debate.

9. JFK took mob money and supprt, Jewish money and support . . .
And every body else's money and then in office gave them all the finger. When in office JFK saw the system and was determined to change it in accord the way the founding fathers would want it and was killed for thinking such. Any one today who seeks the office and is for REAL CHANGE will have to do what JFK did and beef up their security.

10. Obama preaches "hope" and "change"...
He's the hypocrite since he is trying to set himself up as an "outsider". He's nothing more than same~ol same~ol.
