I really wish Joe Biden would have waited till New Hampshire....
Edited on Sun Jan-06-08 02:14 PM by Kerry2008
...to decide whether to stay in the race.

New Hampshire voters are more independent than voters in Iowa, and something tells me he would have had a better showing in New Hampshire than in Iowa.

I never supported Biden, nor wanted to. But I miss his voice already. He brought a lot to the race, whether you love him or hate. Personally, I like him a lot and think his experience really added a lot of substance to otherwise boring and lightweight debates and the usual candidate bickering.

3. Biden and Dodd's presence in NH would have prevented the tag team...
strategy in the debate. Either or both might have done quite well in NH. Their withdrawal from NH was a tactical mistake for both of them.

As another poster said, their voices could have made a difference.

4. Same here.
Iowa is not the end all of the primaries IMO. Dodd as well. Was money the problem?

6. Money and the exclusion from the NH debate.
Money has always been a problem for Biden and Dodd.

5. With the results in Iowa, there would have been no New Hampshire for Joe.
He wouldn't have been able to participate in the debate, thanks to ABC's rules. He would have needed that exposure in order to be heard.

We could always count on him telling us what was really going on (like Pakistan, for example), which is why I so badly wanted him as our President.

It's a damn shame that they both dropped before a real vote.

8. His voice was definiteley missed last night, as was Dodd's
What was left last night was a bunch of bickering.

Richardson did try to bring the conversation back, but he was pretty much ignored.

I also missed Biden's quick humor.

9. He certainly stood apart from the other candidates
and brought some sanity and wit to the usual political speak of debates. The next ten months will be long and dull without him.

10. I Think A Lot Of People...
will regret not supporting him. For me, the remaining candidates can't hold a candle to Joe Biden.

11. Exactly, why I wanted him to get more support...
so that he would be viable. The media made sure that he had little to no coverage and kept putting the candidates we have in our faces. Now we are stuck, the Cons did not want Biden because they knew he would beat any of their candidates. Now they are pushing their main candidate Mc Cain,I have heard a lot of them say its his turn.

They know that Biden is a more substantial candidate.. I could see all of the problems that would be brought up about all of the left overs. Obama is boring in a debate and there are a lot of surprises for him. Edwards has lot of things about him that I will not expound on. Hillary really doesn't have a problems except all of the things about her husband that they have blamed on her and used convince voters not to vote for her.

Now they criticize her if she speaks up or if she doesn't they have a double standard for her. I would like to know what they expect her to do if this is a campaign don't they expect a person to defend themselves. I say about time. I still wish Biden was in the race.

16. Personally, I wish no one would drop out before Super Tuesday.
Neither IA nor NH is sufficiently representative of the country at large to force a decision, IMHO. But that's just me.
