McCain is a nitwit, however, he isn't going to be an easy opponent.

1. Not worried about Captain Queeg--we'll steamroll him as long as it's Obama as our nom.

2. I've had my sigline cued up and ready to go for a while, operating under that assumption.
I can only hope that his R primary opponents will go on the offensive enough to provide some sizable chinks in the armor. MKJ

As they did with Bob Dole they will fall back to the default candidate.

4. You mean right before he and Cheney have 2-3 more heart attacks?
The right wing evangelicals can't find someone who supports all of their BS yet- when that happens, we'll have another "christian" candidate that sleeps with Jeff Ganon.

5. IMO, none of the present GOP will be on their ticket. They will bring in a new team at the
convention. I think it will be John Roberts and Cheney(Lynne) as VP. But it could even be Bloomberg.

7. I wouldn't count Rudy out yet...
Got a bad feeling his strategy may have some merit.

8. I agree--after seeing the shudders that followed the Huckster win, Rudy
isn't going to look as bad in California and NY.

9. His luster of 2000 is gone. I see him as a kook.
Today he said he would have invaded Iraq. That's not going to be an easy sell in the GE. Plus, fair or not, I think his age is going to be a factor.

10. McCain might be tough but he looks like an old man and he has flip flopped on
everything to seem viable to the Religious Right. He was against Pat Robertson before he was for him.
