As an Edwards supporter can I just say that Obama is cooler than Michael Jordan, Jim Carrey and
Eddie Murphy combined! He puts rock stars to shame with his charisma, resonating voice, charm and that winning smile!

4. As an Edwards/Obama supporter, I'm just in HOG HEAVEN right now..
and think either one of them could easily win American/World Idol or the next World Championship Heavyweight Fight.

2. As an Obama supporter, I think that John Edwards could write a Supreme Court opinion that would make
all of the conservative justices cry themselves to death from realizing just how evil they are.

20. No I just think Obama resuscitates the Republican party from political death
Edited on Sun Jan-06-08 04:55 PM by billbuckhead
I remember the heartache of Gore and Kerry both seemingly winning and then ............a .bitter defeat which has only brought sorrow and destruction. I don't want any more of this. The Republican are on the ropes and we give them one more chance by framing the election around race and not utter the Republican failures. Republicans are already rallying around the "white party " flag in regards to immigration and Obama gives them a chance to supercharge their their race based politcas by facing off against a black "islamic crackhead" instead of a regular American. Just google it, it's already out there. I'm sick of the good being the enemy of the perfect in the only viable opposition party to a Republican party basically highjacked by corporate Stalinists. Having Obama as the candidate reframes the election around race and lets the Republicans do what they do best, polarize along the lines of prejudice and fear.

Obama is a very risky candidate. Hillary has a good chance at winning, the Clintons have won before and we had peace and prosperity that many million remember. Edwards seems to do well in polling in battle ground states. Border states favor Scotch-Irish candidates with southern accents like the last 3 Democratic presidents.

I don't want a "rock star", I want a fixer. Maybe we should run Springsteen if we need a "rock star". I agree with Hillary that the election shouldn't be about who we want to have a beer with.

9. This thread is not about who you should vote for
Edited on Sun Jan-06-08 03:38 PM by Quixote1818
It's simply giving someone a complement, nothing more nothing less. I am currently voting for Edwards not Obama.

14. Kennedy was seen as a rock star when he ran. A cool guy, with a lot of flash.
Edited on Sun Jan-06-08 03:46 PM by Drunken Irishman
People also said he lacked substance and didn't have the experience needed to combat the Soviets. Nixon, though, was perceived as being the most experienced and ready to take on the Russians.

We all know how that turned out.

18. I like the photo of him and Hillary best,
of the first ones. I wish they didn't hate each other. They look really nice together when they're relaxed around one another.

They'd make a hot couple (lightning strike). Him and Michelle make a gorgeous couple, and they'd be the best looking First Family since the Kennedys; but him and Hillary make a great looking couple, too (double lightning strike).

I wish they could make peace with one another.
