Marriage Amendment Divisive
February 24, 2004

Dennis Kucinich, in response to President Bush's announcement today on the proposed Constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union between one man and one woman, made the following statement:

"I oppose the amendment. Equal protection of the law, including the right to marry, must be made available to all Americans regardless of race, color, creed or sexual orientation. The amendment as supported by the president is a continuation of his divisive policies which are not worthy of a free nation or a freedom-loving people."

Kerry said he was opposed to the amendment, calling it a wedge issue used to distract the American people. Big difference?????

3. Divisive and distractive
GeeDub announced it the same day Tenet was explaining 911 intelligence failures before the Senate Intelligence Committee.
