So hard to decide between McCain and Romney
Edited on Sun Jan-06-08 05:37 PM by featherman
I'd far prefer the flat-earther Huckster or alien ding-dong Ron Paul win the NH Primary and further marginalize the whole GOP race but it looks like McCain and Romney are gonna battle it out for first place.

The degree of man-love the MSM has for "100 years in Iraq" McCain is probably the scariest factor here. The fawning stories about the "Comeback Maverick" would infest the MSM.

So I guess I'm rooting for the Romneybot to beat him here. I don't know.

Thoughts?

1. I am pulling for the Mittster. Less crazy than the others, less heroic/likable than the others.
He just doesn't scare me--annoys me, but doesn't scare me. The rest (save Grampa Thompson) are frightening.

2. McCain's " win NH and suck everywhere else" strategy didn't work in 2000
It won't work in 2008. Huckabee is 1st in SC, 2nd in MI, 2nd in FL. Mitt is 2nd in NH, 2nd in SC, 3rd in FL. I don't see how McCain can top that.

I'm just not sure if that is Romney or McCain

4. I'd say McCain
It's a tough call between Mitt "we need to double Guantanamo" Romney and John "I'd have invaded Iraq no matter what" McCain, but I see McCain as the crazier looking of the two.
