With two days to go until the New Hampshire primary, a new CNN/WMUR poll out Sunday afternoon suggests that Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois has opened up a double digit advantage over New York Sen. Hillary Clinton in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

In the survey, conducted by the University of New Hampshire on Saturday and early Sunday, 39 percent of likely Granite State Democratic primary voters back Obama as the party’s nominee — that’s ten points ahead of Clinton’s 29 percent. Obama is up six points and Clinton down four points from our survey conducted on Friday and early Saturday.

Former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina is at 16 percent in the new survey, down four points from Saturday. Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico is in fourth place, with the support of 7 percent of likely New Hampshire Democratic primary voters, with Rep. Dennis Kucinich of Ohio at 2 percent.

Is it just the MSM coverage? It seems that anyone who really listens to him loves what he says. :banghead:

25. Because he spent the last few years campaigning exclusively in Iowa, and because
he took matching funds and can't buy ads?

Because most people remember him as the fresh-faced outsider candidate from '04, and Barack's taken up that mantle this year, forcing him to reinvent his persona as a "fighter," and is presenting a conflicting image to those who do not pay close attention?

Because, as with any non-frontrunner, the people "who really listen to him" are likely to be self-selected in favor of agreement with his message, and thus that is not a good way of telling whether he has broad appeal?

He might do better in NH than he did in Iowa!
That would be a magnificent feat. If Obama actually exceeded his margin of victory in NH.

I just want him to win by 2-3 points. A double digit win would be even better. But I want Edwards to be second though.

23. Probably worse for Edwards than Clinton, ultimately
It appears that the media will have a solid justification for avoiding Edwards after the primary if he finishes a such a distant third, and it could reconfigure the race in pretty substantial ways.

It's quite sad, really. I think it'd be more interesting to see the scenario play out in other ways.

30. Polls
People saw Obama do well In the debate. The big thing to remember Is Rank and file Democrats now
support Obama In NH.The Republican race could be a lot closer If a lot of Independents vote for
Obama.Hillary has a narrow lead among woman here(because of the 65 and older woman.18-65 women
are more for Obama)

Obama Is leading both Liberals and Moderates(there Is a defference between Moderate and Centerist.
Al Gore Is a moderate not a Centerist)

Obama could win with 10 percent or more over Hillary.Zogby had him 4 ahead of Edwards In Iowa and he
won by 8.They have him 10 over Hillary. This surprises me because I thought It would be more closer
between then here.If he does win by this margain It will be a huge shock to some, and a great boost
for Obama.

Saint Rudy could fall behind Huckabee and be tied with Ron Paul.
