John Edwards the fighter!!!
Edited on Sun Jan-06-08 07:28 PM by GreenTea
Well, look at it this way and it's important that one does....Obama spent almost ten million dollars in Iowa, Edwards spent three million dollars, that's a huge difference in a small state like Iowa. Kucinich & Richardson both told their supporters to give their votes to Obama in Iowa. Most pollsters I've read or heard say that the Kucinich/Richardson "bump" gave Obama anywhere from a 2% to 4% boost in his final totals.

And what about the fucking mainstream press.....who has always despised any real progressive candidate like John Edwards or any other liberal for that matter, labeling them "far Left", (as if that's a negative, it certainly isn't in my ideological belief). But they are the mainstream media and they want to keep the Status-Quo....In so much, the media does either of two things, 1) never mentions Edwards, or 2) trashes the shit out of Edwards if they do.

Finally we know the republicans will do all and anything they can to make sure Edwards is NOT the Democratic nominee and we know how sneaky & slimy the republicans can be.

No doubt with all the above taken (and its only fair that it must) into consideration, Edwards has an uphill climb, Obama is cruising at present, the media's darling right now, just as Hillary was.

However, John Edward truly is a fighter and he will fight to the finish....The only thing Edwards needs to win is M-O-N-E-Y!

If Edwards can somehow get close to Obama & Hillary's MONEY that they'll spend....Edwards will be the next president and will easily whip any republican candidate, the republicans absolutely know this, and every poll shows it to be true....So of course the republicans want either Obama or Hillary...to keep it closer for the republicans in the general election.

It's "only" money keeping Edwards from making a strong run, and the republican owned corporate media wants to keep it that way!

1. When will the American people ever learn to STOP LETTING MONEY
and the MEDIA CONTROL WHO WINS AND WHO LOSES?

Seriously, WTF is wrong with people that they can't get this?

Follow the money people...follow the money. It would be so nice to take money out of the scenario and elect people based on the way they stand on the issues.

Pathetic. And these same people will whine when things aren't any better down the road. :eyes:

2. Thank you. I'd been wondering about this piece
"the Kucinich/Richardson "bump" gave Obama anywhere from a 2% to 4% boost in his final totals."

thanks for the info.

Go Johnny Go!!

funds. At lest Obama and Hillary would have the money to respond to right wing attacks, but since Edwards has been forced to take federal matching funds, he would be a sitting duck, unable to respond effectively to attacks.

I stll have my fingers crossed for Edwards, but I do fear the money issue.

We desperately need to get big money out of our elections!

4. Edwards is the biggest threat to the powers that be, and they know it
Danny Glover, campaigning for Edwards, said he's for 'systemic change.' And man is that what we need.

5. The ONLY reason Clinton and Obama are where they are, is the money, period...
Well, and Obama has Oprah, which women consider some sort of God (tho I sure don't know why, and I'm female).
