Zogby just said on Air America that he thinks there might be a Colin Powell or
Petraeus draft for the Republican candidate.

I THINK I heard that right -- anyone else listening?

1. General Betrayus said he does not want to be the President.
But, he's a liar, so....

5. And Powell chose not to run before... But what caught my attention is that
this would imply that the R's aren't happy with their current crop (and reallly, who would be?).

If they DID launch a draft, wow -- this would get even crazier!

2. I wasn't listening
But there was a discussion about this months ago.
I personally don't believe that they have a strong enough candidate.
They'll pull someone out at the last possible minute for their candidate.

3. Petraeus would help GOP ticket & he has the ambition
Petraeus is held in high esteem by the dihard Bushies.
It might be enough of a bridge to heal the rift in the GOP.

4. Petraeus could never get out of the military soon enough to do this, Powells
wife has told him know fearing death threats on his life. Someone's wishful thinking on the radio today.

8. Uh, no. Less likely even than Gore running. How would Petraeus campaign--
on active duty, from the Green Zone? Somebody's smoking crack.

9. Colin Powell
If he has a shred of decency, he'd stay out after the march to war in Iraq with his prodding.

BUT, I could see him doing it so that he could try to fix what he broke.

I know a lot of people who vowed not to vote Republican that would vote for him.
