Keep something in mind from NH results

There will be a lot of hype and ballyhoo about whoever "wins" the Republican primary in New Hampshire. For a smidgen of a reality check, watch the vote totals garnered by the various Republican candidates, and compare them to the totals on the Democratic side. For example, where would the Republican winner place in the Democratic field? Third? Fourth?

And watch the vote totals for the also-rans on the Republican side of the ledger. The news reports are going to emphasize percentages, no matter how anemic they are, because the total votes some of these candidates poll is going to be embarrassingly low considering the amount of time and money spent. 1,700 votes for a $2 million outlay? Talk about retail politics.
