I'm just saying, they call for Mcain when he had about 2000 point lead with less than 10% of the vote in.

1. The votes aren't anything like the exit polls; they think Obama might close it.

2. McCain's race was called based on exit polls.
The exit polls indicated enough of a difference to call it.

The exit polls on the Dem side were too close to call it based on just the exit polls.

4. It depends on what votes are outstanding. Remember Jim Webb
He was down over 3000 votes until somewhere near 90%, and then his precincts started to come in.

5. The percentage is the important thing. McCain had a 9% point lead when they called it
Clinton's lead hasn't been more than 6%. Additionally they take into account the registered voter count in precincts that have reported as well as their own exit polling. It's a lot more complicated than it looks and certainly more complicated than the simple difference in voter count.

6. Every vote needs to be counted. They are reporting percentage of precincts
not voters. There could be thousands of votes for any candidate that could change everything. The point is that Democrats are winning by voting in large numbers.
