Fellow Edwards Supporters -- a request
John, Elizabeth and their staffers have GOT to be exhausted after the last 10 days.

Please take a moment and send a note to the campaign to express your thanks and support. I know that will mean a lot to them -- especially the staffers who will compile everything. If you have cash, I am sure that they would welcome that as well!

I have not asked this for a thread before, but if you all could rec this up, it would be much appreciated.

On to Nevada and South Carolina!!!!

27. I think we have to cut them all a little slack
All three of these people have been keeping work schedules that would drive lesser motivated people into the fucking ground. Edwards has done the 36 hour thing twice in less than two weeks. Neither Obama nor Clinton have been shown any sign of relenting before fatigue's onslaught. I respect that. I am 51. I hack code for a living. All nighters are not new to me ... but at the end of a 36 hour session I can barely remember to thank my wife for being the complete goddess that she is ...

Hillary cried. BFD. Obama got a little bit overly cocky with his "epiphany riff". So what. Small shit, I say. I amazed any of them can assemble a grammatically correct sentence at this point. And for stamina, if nothing else, I respect them all.

58. I totally agree.
To work themselves into the ground the way they are, you know that they have to really freakin' want this.

I don't really know, because I didn't use to pay much attention, but it seems a lot worse these days than it used to be. In this digital/media/instant everything age, campaigning seems to be a 24/7 thing. Not easy to do. I give them all credit for being able to keep up - for having to be constantly "on". Not to mention juggle their day jobs, and families, along with it.

Kudos to all of them for that.

Like donating, phone-banking, walking around your local neighborhoods, folding fliers, stuffing envelopes, volunteering to drive people to the polls, etc. Stuff like that, ya know.

Edwards and Obama are not on the ballot because of the primary date squabble between the state and national Dem parties. They withdrew their names, so other than Hillary & Dennis we no longer have other choices. Our best shot is to vote uncommitted, though our delegates may not be seated anyway. We can't even do write-in's. It really sucks.

This is my DU post 999. I swear to God that if JRE doesn't make it, I may never get to post 1000. That'll be the day I finally become apathetic about politics. I'm just going to pull covers over my head and wait for the Mayan calendar to run out. :banghead:

I shall stay hopeful as long as John is in the race.

70. John Edwards is my 2nd choice (VP?)
I just returned from his rally in Columbia SC. My daughter and I were asked to stand on stage with a crowd of 20 people behind John. Oh man it was exciting. Such a great experience. The loudest applause was in referrence to ending the war. They even said "fired up and ready to go". I was also a volunteer at the Obama/Oprah rally. That was so awsome. Edwards' people even gave us yard signs. Gobama/Edwards

78. I Just Wrote A Note To Them Saying That I/WE Believe In Them...
I have donated many times and wish I could give more right now... but will have to wait a little longer for now!

But, I will stay with them NO MATTER WHAT! The end of the line for me, so I'm going out on a limb and will find a way to show that he's my choice. Since we use ES&S machines here in Florida, and in the country that "lost" all the votes in 2006, I may have to skip my vote for POTUS if he's not the one. But that IS what I plan to do. That's how much I believe he's the best candidate in the race!!

Thanks for posting the link, but mostly for making it an effort of "many!" We all could have done it alone, those of us who get emails regularly, but doing it as a group seems to add more momentum!!

PLUS, noted that "single payer health care" they recommend should not include private companies
nor insurance companies ---

And, probably expanding MEDICARE would be best plan ---
