Ever heard the cliche that Edwards is "too angry"? CNN exit poll: 2/3 of Democrats are angry

according to the CNN exit poll last night.
One of the main reasons Edwards has lost is that no matter what he does, the headlines go to the other candidates. Unless he pays whatever he wants for a haircut, of course.

Despite their economic circumstances, dissatisfaction with the Bush administration was clearly evident in both Democratic and Republican voters.

Almost two-thirds of Democrats polled (65 percent) said they were "angry" with the Bush administration. And almost half of Republicans, (49 percent) said they were angry or dissatisfied with the Bush administration.

1. Not really.
In this election, there's no glory in voting for the White. Man. Remember, an election isn't just about the issues, it's about how the voter feels voting for this person. We have the chance of one of two HUGE firsts with this election: the black man or the white woman. How can anyone feel that triumphant glory pulling a lever for the white man? It's not fair, it's not smart. But it's true. There's no sense or history or heroism pulling the lever for Edwards.

It sucks.

4. Sheesh, I agree...

This IS an important election... one that will help determine the direction of our country for many decades. BUT -- that importance does NOT hinge on the gender or race of the winner. "First black President" or "first woman President" are merely footnotes in history books. The ACHIEVEMENTS of a President are what will guide this country out of peril... or not.

I am certain there are many voters for whom gender or race is more important than anything else a candidate brings to the table. In their zeal for the COUNTRY to be color-blind or gender-blind, however, they may have become unable to practice that quality themselves.

2. To be angry, or not to be angry?
Yeah, people complain when their politicians don't exhibit sufficient "fire in the belly" to be effective in their jobs (e.g. legislative Dems)... And then they turn around and complain when their politicians start to use "angry" rhetoric (e.g. Edwards) to stand up to forces they agree need to be stood up to.

Make up your minds, folks!

3. Edwards problem I believe is his anger is too restricted...
the voters I do believe are in agreement for the most part with Edawards doing battle with the corps, the problem is the voter is angry over many many things and want a candidate who is going to bash and smite ALL of the bogeymen. Edwards has got to expand his attack to more issues...or he is gonna pass off into political obscurity.
