1. He's a stylish person ... I just wish he had started an organization
behind him that does more than presidential campaigns. Yes, he'll go back to being senator if this doesn't pan out, but you don't have to be president to lead a movement.

3. He isn't? I hadn't kept track. Then really, I do wish he'd start
something ... I might join it to pressure for social change.

7. *sigh* That's his project
I figured it would jog your memory. It's always amazing to me how much DUers don't know when they sneer at hicks in the rest of the country for being uninformed voters. How could you not know what John Edwards has been doing on poverty?? This isn't the only thing.

8. Seriously ... I apologize for my ignorance, but what am I missing?
If I appear to be sneering I apologize. Can't a person express a sincere sentiment without being attacked? What do you find so offensive about my question. After all - and no help from you but I did look it up, Edwards was appointed director of the Center on Poverty, Work and Opportunity. Nothing about anything he started - so again, what am I sneering at?

How could I not know about Edwards? Excuse me, but I've been supporting my candidate for almost a decade now ... I'm not investigating former VP candidates or anyone else. Please ... can't we have a civil discussion about a decent person who's doing what he thinks is right? In another universe, he'd be the party's presumptive front-runner - but my choice was made even before Kerry picked him.

Although we may cheer different contestants in this race, can't we be friends? I don't want to sneer at anyone or leave the impression that I would enjoy it.

10. There ... took a while, but I found an article that sums it up well. You're right
Edwards launched the UNC Center on Poverty, Work and Opportunity in September 2005, with Hurricane Katrina and the scenes of deprivation it laid bare days earlier giving the venture an unexpected timeliness. The center had a small staff, paid for mostly by several million dollars from Edwards's campaign supporters. It organized a dozen conferences and panel discussions over Edwards's two-plus years there, sponsored a book published last week and explored rebuilding strategies for New Orleans.

But there are effective programs that do more.

4. I could vote for her with no trouble BUT I like Obama/Edwards better.
As a women she does think a little different than what we now have and of course being a Dem, she does but I hate to see the old Clinton group come back. I think it is time to move on to new thinkers and people. I sure see that in Obama and some what in Edwards even if he makes me think of a New Deal Dem. I do think the race is still on. That I like a lot. More input the better for us all. I foe sure think Clinton knows her stuff. Her tears did not get to me only that she must be worn out. A lot of people did vote. Big turn out.
