Obama allowing himself to be swiftboated
It is really sad to see Obama and his campaign allowing Hillary to swiftboat him. She got a great deal of press getting "choked up" and trashing him at the same time and Obama did nothing to counter her attacks. His talk of hope and change are positive and necessary but so are reassurances that he can fight back the detractors. I am glad Barack got the loss out this early as he is young and has time to right the ship and defeat Clinton. He should do well in SC and I hope battles well in February.

The country does not need more status quo.

4. "Swiftboat"? It was more of a swift kick by NH voters. They realized
what a risk they'd be taking with an inexperienced "visionary" at the helm if a world crisis should occur.

8. Thank you for my morning laugh.
The term "swift kick" is one I heard often in my childhood (as in, if you don't hurry up I'll give you a swift kick in the ass), but it's sort of fallen out of fashion of late!

11. er, no they didn't
He did extremely well and came in a close second. That's like saying that Iowa voters decided that they didn't want to take the risk of putting in a woman because they realized the risk they'd be taking by having a woman at the helm if a world crisis should occur. Or saying they didn't want to vote for her because they know she's a corporate tool. That's bullshit and so is your thin speculation. If he'd lost by 10 points you could be right, but he didn't and the demographic break down of voters completely contradicts your absurd claim. It was the economy, stupid.

5. You are misusing that term.
A switfboat attack, as in the original swiftboat attack on Kerry, is a carefully orchestrated third party character assasination attack, entirely without merit but outrageous in its claims, that can be disavowed if needed by the target's opponent. The original attackers typically do not even attempt to defend their claims but simply move on from the original smear to another slightly different variant of the same smear, and then repeat this process as needed. The Bullshit Media System participates by deliberately giving widespread coverage to the smear, using their usual journalistic standards of putting total bullshit on an even basis with substantiated facts.

6. .... !!!!!!! ....

He lost a primary, so now he's been "Swiftboated???"

You need to tell us all just HOW he was "Swiftboated." What lies were told about him? What attack ads and television programs were aired to depress his voting base? Come on, we need details, now!!

14. That's a lie. I listened to her on GMA and she said she was proud of Hillary.
She did vote for Obama, but she did NOT say that she was disappointed in Hillary's win. She said she voted for Obama because he made HER cry twice at a rally (in a good way...not like he poked her in the eye or anything). It doesn't surprise me. Obama is an excellent candidate who will likely be our next president, but you don't represent him well when you twist information like that just to smear Clinton.

through a report on another network. Add another one to the ignore list.

"Marianne Pernold tells 630 WMAL's Chris Core she truly believes that Senator Hillary Clinton's emotional response to her question at a meeting in New Hampshire was genuine. Pernold asked Clinton how she managed to keep going during the rough campaign, and Clinton's somewhat-teary response has been credited by some pundits for her victory in the Granite state Tuesday night. Pernold tells 630 WMAL she still voted for Barack Obama, becuase she had attended one of his rallies earlier in the week, and she claims Obama's stirring speech brought HER to tears!"
From 630.WMAL.com and this is only one report of this incident.

18. In another interview I heard she said she was. It's not a stretch
and not a big deal. If she wanted Hillary to win, she would have voted for her.

12. /smacks forehead. please circle file what you just said...
Clinton won last night because of white women voting for a white woman. Nothing more. That's it, end of story.

The only thing that was "wrong" were the polls leading up to the primary.

Obama wasn't supposed to do as well in NH as he did.

You sound like that media that swoons and sways with every shallow breeze.

Hillary may win this, but it will due to almost one thing only women voting for a woman because "it is their turn".

That's a form of prejudice really, but that's for another topic.
