Since last night I've seen 3 of the 5 stages of grief from Obama supporters
Denial: This can't be happening. The exit polls... And, Diebold machines, etc...

Anger: It's not fair. Everyone hates her.

Bargaining: Obama: Demand a recount

Next comes Depression then Acceptance.

-------------------------

Good grief! Get a grip, people. It's the primary process and ultimately we want to beat the Republics in November. They're the real enemy. Not other Democrats.

Let's focus on the real enemy, the Republics. Not each other.

12. take a read then ask whats wierd about it.
polling to hand counts = correct
exit polling to hand counts = correct

polling to machine counts = error
exit polling to machine counts = error

then

http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/usa/2008/01/exit_polls_obam...
8:01 pm
Obama 39%
Clinton 34%
Edwards 18%

http://blogs.usatoday.com/onpolitics/2008/01/exit-poll-...
8:10pm
Sen. Barack Obama: 39%.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton: 38%.

proof the networks are editing their results....
9:08 PM Exit poll has been reweighted and combined with town-by-town returns from sources suggest Senator Clinton may very well win by two points. - JOHN McINTYRE

Tribune Media: MSM Failed to Note 'Hackable Diebold Red Flags' in New Hampshire Primary Results

Syndicated Columnist Robert Koehler Writes for Tomorrow's Papers: 'Possibility of Tainted Results, a Prospect Most of Media Can't Bear'

Notes Problems With NH's Diebold Machines 'Remain Unsolved'...

Syndicated Tribune Media Services columnist Bob Koehler bumps up our serious concerns about last night's wholly untransparent, and still-uncounted (by anything but a hackable Diebold computer, and a company with a questionable past, to say the least) New Hampshire Primary election results, from "blogger conspiracy theory" to mainstream media concern.

18. Why is it necessary to have..
evidence of fraud to count the ballots in an accurate and verifiable manner? Do we not deserve that? Why can't every election be conducted in a manner that assures confidence in the result?

19. That is the strawman. I agree with all of your points....it is just that
claiming fraud with no evidence because you do not like the results is not cool.

28. in every future election..
...somebody will win. That person, and his/her supporters are the only ones who will maintain any degree of confidence in the election results...because there is no way to assure others that the votes were accurately counted. Think about that. There is no reason why EVERY election can not be conducted in a manner that produces an accurate result. And I should not have to scream "FRAUD" in order to insure my vote be counted. How did you feel when Kerry conceded the race...or did you not vote for him?

30. Sigh. I agree with you. And after Kerry was ROBBED of the election, I was severely depressed
and I am not talking in hyperbole here.... We deserve open, verifiable voting.
In the meantime, claims of fraud have to be backed by some evidence.
....and to be clear, there is plenty of evidence from 2004...no question.
But Obama supporters claiming fraud with NO evidence just seems like sour grapes, NOT a desire for verifiable voting.

34. Why does anyone HAVE to claim Fraud...
in order to make sure the damn votes were counted accurately? Why can't EVERY election be conducted in a manner that assures accuracy? "Sour Grapes", "Sore Losers", "Conspiracy Theorists"...all phrases that were used in 2004, and 2006...and many state elections that are still being contested. And there is no reason why this country can not conduct elections right now...in a manner that will restore voter confidence in the results.

36. Oh..I see..
At some future date we'll think about it. Until then unless you can PROVE FRAUD there is no way that a percentage of the vote can be hand-counted today to insure accuracy. Got it.

37. I agree that votes should be hand counted/verifiable. THAT IS NOT CURRENTLY A REALITY.
In this instance, if you are going to make the charge that Hillary cheated, show me some proof.
Otherwise, yes you will have to go shout "FRAUD" On the corner....becuase no one will listen.

20. There is no 'political will'
to insure that we have confidence in our elections..and I have to wonder why that is. After the general election, and all this dies down...this issue will recede to the background until the next time. After each election I email, and I phone..I sign petitions..and then my interest turns elsewhere. Until the next time.

9. Husband is doing that too.
He is really upset over it.

But like Edwards said, it is only one half of one percent of the country.

Therer are 99.5% of the populace to come.

And if there was hanky panky, it looks like it came by taking away from Obama and not Edwards.

11. Have people made that accusation?
I know I've questioned the number of out of state students that registered for the caucus, but only to see if that would have made up part of the difference in NH.

15. As if Dartmouth doesn't have out of state students
And as if the SoS, friend of the Clintons, didn't schedule the election knowing the students wouldn't be back. And as if they didn't change the ballot to alphabetical to put Clinton at the top. And as if the SoS didn't praise his voters for picking candidates who would be "ready to lead". I think the little jabs about out of state students can end now, don't you think?
