Kerry Picks Obama

Sen. John Kerry will endorse Sen. Barack Obama at 11:00 a.m. in Charleston, two Democratic sources say.

Within the past 24 hours, Obama's also been endorsed by Rep. George Miller, the consiglieri to the Speaker of the House, and by Sen. Tim Johnson (D-SD).

California congressman George Miller (D) is also backing Obama's presidential campaign. This is perhaps the closest thing to getting a Nancy Pelosi endorsement as you can come without actually getting it. Miller is incredibly close with her politically. He wouldn't be doing this without her consent of sorts.

I voted for John Edwards in 2004. I think he's the most progressive candidate.

I think Hillary would be a very effective president and would avoid some mistakes that a new president always makes because of her having been so close to Bill Clinton's presidency. I would also like a woman president in my lifetime.

I think having Obama as president would make the U.S. and the world feel better about our country. We've carried the consequences of slavery for too many years. Obama is very intelligent and capable, but I am afraid that he will be too influenced by corporations. I like his wife, but I'm still not certain that he is comfortable with women of power.

strong, intelligent,and compassionate. Obama's foreign policy advisor is Susan Rice, who worked in the Clinton administration in the State Department--another strong, thoughtful, intelligent woman.

Obama has no problem with powerful women.
