Kerry's endorsement of Obama makes sense, BIG TIME!
Edited on Thu Jan-10-08 01:10 PM by Nimrod2005
We will see all of the party folks, almost all, come out against Hillary.

Most KNOW that Hillary is the most divisive politician in America today, in addition, her personality is cold and extremely offensive. I strongly believe the cool headed folks decided she is not entitled to jack shit, and they will say so.

I am personally against her because she is too righwingish for my liberal taste, the far right hates her for being her...etc. She cannot capture the middle, she cannot be elected. Her Presidency will be a continuation of bullshit our country has been suffering from, Nafta, Cafta, China in the WTO, triangulations, manipulations, lobby...etc. Even if she can be elected, even if she becomes president, our country will lose!

You should expect Edwards, Gore, Dennis Kucinich, all other key players to get behind Obama (or Edwards if he is the non Hillary person left).

For many many reasons, Hillary is a disaster for America, she really is another Bush!

2. Hillary is NOT "another Bush in drag"
I am a Kerry supporter and an Obama supporter, and I find that statement in your post incredibly offensive.

10. America is still..
a racist and sexist nation...the safe bet is Edwards...Like someone once pointed out the other day...these white folks that support Obama publicly..will privately vote for the white candidate...it's just not Obama's time...he'll get eaten alive by the GOP sharks who are just salivating at the very thought of having BO as the Dem nominee...

3. Well, thanks for getting all the stereotypical descriptions out there.
How dare an American woman feel she is entitled to run for the American presidency. What kind of cold, offensive monster would do that?

But "Bush in drag"? For that you will burn in hell.

11. I'll make it "Non-Sexist" for the overly sensitive.
Of all the Democratic Candidates, Hillary is closest to Bush in Policy, Position, and political connections.

8. Makes sense taking into account Obama's hubris
This was planned BEFORE NH. Remember the background music for the Obama victory speech in NH (Signed, Sealed, Delivered). This was supposed to be the passing of the torch photo OP...

Obama has proclaimed himself the nominee. No doubt there will be some DUers who have already drunk that koolaid.

12. Does it always have to be because of the "Kool-Aid"?
This insinuation that you or anyone who uses this phrase are leveling against Obama supporters, that somehow you are smarter or more in the know, is offensive. I like Obama because I believe he is the best choice to lead our nation.

9. You are more right than you realize.
Kerry/Obama -- both members of the Ivy League elite. They don't talk like ordinary Americans. They don't think like ordinary Americans. The both think they are smarter than ordinary Ameericans.

In the end, Americans vote for the person they want to have a beer with -- and of our candidates there is only one -- John Edwards.

That is why we should be voting for John Edwards, not Obama or Hillary.

22. I really liked Kerry in 2004 but his endorsement doesn't sway me
At this point, someone's endorsement will not sway me. No one will make the decision for me. I'm looking to the candidates themselves to convince me they are worthy of my trust and my vote and that they will not only be qualified, but favorably DISPOSED to end the war, to broker peace between Israel and Palestine, and to solve our many domestic problems. I'm trying to keep myself above the emotional fray. I haven't fallen in love with any candidate. I don't care if Hillary has a cold personality. I don't want to elect a friend or someone who makes me feel good or presents themselves as "one of us". I'm a moron and I don't want my President to be a moron. I think Hillary Clinton is qualified to be President. I think the things she has been saying in her recent speeches have been 'right on' and impressive. But I don't trust her. She foolishly put her faith in George Bush to act in a responsible manner when she handed him a blank check on the Iraq war. She caused me great dismay when she voted in favor of Joe Lieberman's bill to brand the Iranian Republican Guard as terrorists. I think Hillary could make a great President as far as her intellectual capacities go. But is she favorably committed to address our problems? I don't trust her to listen to the people once she is in office. That isn't something I can reason away, try as I might.
