Bill talks about Obama claiming to be an anti-Iraq-war warrior, only to have said in 2004 that there wasn't much difference between he and bush on Iraq; that it was understandable that people had voted for the IWR; and that he didn't know how he would have voted himself.

Bill is right.

There's nothing racist about it.

This whole thing is a sick attept by the Obama camp to peel away African American votes in SC.

Good God, how more blatant could it be?

I like toward the end where you see his wife, Michele, standing there watching him. She's got that look of "THAT"S MY MAN RIGHT THERE!" :)

9. OK, I watched it.
You seem to want a rock star. I want a capable leader.

I don't want to join hands with the proven liars of the republican party.

As pretty as the idea might be, idealistically.

Reality is what we have to deal with.

.........“To say that there is a pattern of racist comments coming out of the Hillary campaign is ridiculous,” said Ohio Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones. “All of the world knows the commitment of President Clinton and Sen. Clinton to civil rights issues — and not only the commitment in terms of words but in terms of deeds.”

Referring to the King quote, Sheila Jackson Lee, another Clinton supporter, said Clinton was trying to contrast King and Obama, not to diminish King: "It really is a question of focusing on the suggestion that you can inspire without deeds — what is well known to the child who studies Dr. King in school is that yes, he spoke, but he also moved people to action."

19. Many hours, how admirable! Aren't you the OP?
I know one thing. I like who I like, you like who you like. That's okay. I hope this place and the media get over the rest of it and concentrate on the issues instead of personalities. I'd rather support my candidate's position on an issue than hear about the crowds, individual conversations, etc.

Edited on Sat Jan-12-08 01:18 AM by Skip Intro

I agree with you that positions on issues should be the focus.

Calling Bill Clinton a racist for examining Obama's positions is bullshit.

So the quesiton remains, was Obama against the Iraq war, then for it in 2004, and now against it again?

Clearly, he was all of those.

So what do we accept as honest from him now?

How can you know?

25. Hey, hon. you brought up how long you've been off, not me.
And don't get me started on Bill Clinton. We can't impeach this current asshat because of him; he's anathema in my book for that little trick that will live in infamy. I know people love him for many things, but I've become less of a fan.

As for the slurs the Clintons have made originally or through their surrogates, you can believe what you want. Look around.

would not as many misunderstandings and maybe then if there were a difference of opinion of what was or what was not said, it could be a civil conversation.....

Let's fight like cats & dogs - until February 5th.Let's keep it fair, no knives, no personal attacks, and with a smile on our faces.
Then on February 6th,let's agree to work together and support the Democrat. Our only alternative is to destroy each other and help the Fascist bastards win.Surely, your hatred of the republicans trumps your feelings for Hillary, right?

So - what does everyone say?

In fact, I don't hate Hillary at all, and have stated so. I worry more about the (seeming) majority of people in this country who do hate her (irrationally). If she gets the nom, I'll be behind her 110%. I'll be scared shitless about the outcome of the GE, but I will support her.

38. Ask this guy:
But other black Clinton supporters found themselves wincing at the Clintons’ words, if not questioning their intent.

A Harlem-based consultant to the Clinton campaign, Bill Lynch, called the former president’s comments “a mistake” and said his own phone had been ringing with friends around the country voicing their concern.

“I’ve been concerned about some of those comments — and that there might be a backlash,” he said.

Maybe the Clinton campaign should fire him!
