1. Hillary's campaign is the most depressing Democratic campaign in my memory.
Edited on Sun Jan-13-08 03:08 PM by Bleachers7
Stands for nothing except not being the other guy. It reminds me of Bush in 2000.

5. The most depressing since the
bushits 2000 and 2004 when the Dems actually won but the bushits were so desperate they saw their money and negativity carried the fucking day.

12. Do you think for a minute that Clinton wouldn't pull the same thing?
I mean, be real. Iowa college voters, NH poll monitors, NV unions and the race card in SC?

That woman would sacrifice her own grandmother if it meant POWAH.

13. Would you care to be a bit more definitive?
Proud or ashamed of what.

Hillary set out to go for the presidency. What one usually does in such a journey is what one does on a merry to round. Go for the gold ring.

There has been very little of the usual dirty tricks by Hillary herself. A few of her overzealous supporters may have gotten out of hand from time to time, but most have ended up by being terminated from the campaign staff.

The first attacks came from other candidates. She has answered a few but has tried to run an honest and clean campaign. If you have problems with this or have specific charges in mind, then present them.

Several other posters agreed in principal yesterday to clean up the board and return DU to a sane, rational, and courteous discussion board. And to seek out the 'thugs' from our midst and see that they conform or leave. That seems fair and reasonable after the uncontrolled hatred and poison(so greatly desired by trolls and freepers)and concentrate on getting one of our candidates into the White House in November.

That is the goal. Which is it for you?

38. The fact is
we have the right to expect a whole lot more from our candidates!

We decide through voting what is acceptable campaign behavior.

Clinton's remarks (spade work, MLK vs. LBJ, Obama is a drug dealer, People just want a young hip black friend) may have been innocent, but if so, they are still extremely irresponsible.

You are selling the whole party short if you don't stand up against this demeaning behavior.

And, it's not worth it to me, to vote democrat if this is the way our leaders are going to act. I'd rather have a real republican than a fake democrat!

32. It is Sunday. about 1:20pm(pt). Just read the titles of 80 different threads...
29 are openly anti-Clinton, almost a third. That is just from the titles. That really is a bit much.

Few, if any, serve any constructive purpose. The posters are the usual cast of negative posters. There are few new names on the list. They are the same people who posted these kinds of threads yesterday and the day before.

I don't see near that many threads kicking Obama or Edwards in the ass for being not quite the ideal candidate. Someone want to explain that phenomenon for me?

Many of the negative threads are repetitive and are among the multiple entries made by this short list of negative--hate Hillary--individuals.

How many of these posters are really from a Repugnant site and/or freeperville? How many are just juvenile-minded trolls who need a kick in the tail to get straightened out?

C'mon folks, we have an election to win. If we spend our time attacking each other over quite trivial matters, we will not this election win. If you can't see this, then you are playing the wrong cards at the wrong time.

I personally don't care who your candidate is. It is your choice. You are entitled to that choice. You do not have the choice of using disinformation, half-truths, and/or, outright lies in an attempt to besmirch any one of our candidates.

Edited on Sun Jan-13-08 04:49 PM by Perry Logan
I think the Hillary-haters are sensing their imminent defeat. They are over the top, flinging accusation after accusation like so many turds. For these people, Hillary is convicted in advance of all accusations made against her. I've never seen anything so weird this side of Wingerdom.

42. I was responding to someone
who said, "the county chair" making it sound like a paid official in the Clinton campaign.

I think there were in fact only two, but perhaps another has been ferreted out. Or perhaps you are exaggerating. A link to a reputable news source could resolve the difference, but I don't see it as significant.

As for "the fruits of their efforts," do you honestly believe THEY started this e-mail? LOL! Or anyone within the Clinton campaign? Give me a break. This is the GOP at work, and Democrats like you are helping them along.

And if you have never gotten an anti-Clinton e-mail, consider yourself lucky... and very unusual. Search snopes.com for "Clinton" and you'll see dozens of examples. It's practically an industry of its own.

43. I realize the Clinton camp didn't start these e-mails, but why
are they acting so GOPey? Why doesn't she, or they, think they can prevail on their merits instead of using smear tactics? That's what's puzzling.

And yes, IIRC, there were 3 volunteers who were canned.

44. Like I said above...
There have been plenty of Obama supporters (just like Hillary supporters) who have passed along misinformation just because it made their opponent look bad. Fact is, in a national level campaign with thousands of people involved, a few are going to do the wrong thing sometimes. One side is no more "GOPey" than the other. At least the Clinton campaign asked the volunteer county chair to resign.
