But he is the original post as it appeared yesterday.

I contacted the campaign and they must have contacted NPR. John Edwards is not dropping out of the Nevada caucus.

I gave up 3 years ago
when Stupid was doing his Potemkin town meetings to drum up support to destroy Social Security. They had a series of wingnuts on describing the plan over and over again, using the same words, culminating with that snake Mehlman. Nothing from the other side was presented.

At that point I swapped the station on my clock radio to the commercial classical station. NPR was not a nice way to wake up.

7. NPR ain't what it used to be
I threw in the towel on them quite some time ago.

One morning, though, I had the misfortune of overhearing their broadcast in which their "reporter," Anne Garrels, managed to both glorify and condone torture at the same time.

9. I gave up on NPR about 10 years ago.
Even that long ago, I could see the direction they were heading and knew it wasn't for me. I used to listen to it on my way to and from work and all day on Saturday, sometimes on Sunday, too. I miss it--the way it used to be.

11. NPR is a good example that "Public" now means "Corporate."
I began listening to NPR in the mid eighties and have been saddened by their buyout by the neocons several years ago. What a disgrace they have become. I wish some of their old reporters would speak out about this.

14. Since NPR Went Private it's Been Co-Opted by Corporate America
It's now an arm of the corporate greed that has corrupted everything else in this country.

15. That is hardly correct
NPR is still the most credible news source outside of a few of America's newspapers.

18. Not True, NPR is still good
Edited on Tue Jan-15-08 08:44 AM by danalytical
NPR is consistently the best source of news out there, other than the internet anyway. And NPR fought off the attempt to Republicanize it a few years ago, they successfully ousted the politically appointed CEO of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Did you follow that?

Maybe they just got it wrong on this one. I like Edwards, but I also like NPR.
