Why is Dean whining?
I find myself agreeing with Lieberman. <shudder> Let the process play out. The voters will decide. They aren't stupid sheep.

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-trail30dec30,1,6925222.story?coll=la-home-headlines

"I've got news for Howard Dean: The primaries are a warm-up compared to what George Bush and Karl Rove have waiting for the Democratic nominee," Lieberman said. "If Howard Dean can't stand the heat in the Democratic kitchen, he's going to melt in a minute once the Republicans start going after him."

3. Maybe this is why

Republican strategists, meanwhile, are watching it all with barely contained glee.

"They are beginning to really gouge this guy," Republican pollster Bill McInturff said about Dean, chuckling. "Look at Howard Dean and, as a Republican, think about the advertising we're going to run."

McInturff said Republicans could use John Kerry's quotes about Dean wanting to tax the middle class, or the "wonderful attack" from Wesley Clark about Dean's draft status or the "terrific comments" from Joe Lieberman about Dean's stance on Saddam Hussein's capture.

Kerry has criticized Dean's plan to roll back all of President Bush (news - web sites)'s tax cuts, including those for the middle class. Clark has assailed Dean for heading to the ski slopes after getting a medical deferment to avoid military service in Vietnam. Lieberman has ridiculed Dean's assertion that Saddam's capture did not make Americans safer.

For now, Republicans don't have to worry about beating up on Dean, who is ahead of his fellow Democrats in the polls nationally and in states with early nominating contests. His Democratic rivals are taking care of the job.

25. He attacks the DLC & he wants the DNC to temper the
vicious, counterproductive attacks against him.

You do know the difference between the DLC & the DNC, right?

31. Terry McAuliffe is DLC
Edited on Tue Dec-30-03 06:35 AM by wyldwolf
Hand-picked by Bill Clinton, right?

I mean, we may not think of him as DLC and he may not be an official member, but he was hand-picked by Bill Clinton, right? Clinton put one of his guys in.

So Dean attacks DLC then wants "DLC" to protect him from attacks.

Makes sense to me... not!

This guy couldn't stand firm if his life depended on it. At least Gore finally got some balls, even if it was way too late.

the original post......Why is Dean complaining if he has attacked every single candidate? why is he asking them to stop...when he didn't stop.

I think that is a legit question, don't you?

13. You know the cold roast chicken they
have in the deli section at Safeway? I love that stuff. It really makes a great snack. Just go over to the kitchen, take it out of the fridge and carve off some. Mmmm-mmm. The only trouble is, if you're not careful you get chicken grease all over your hands. And then when you go back to your computer, you get grease marks on your mouse and keyboard. God, I hate that. Oh geez, now I'M whining. Ugh.

19. Lancelot Link: A chimp is in a bar and
is telling a joke to the bartender, another chimp.

Chimp 1: A penguin takes his car into the shop and the mechanic says he needs an hour to check it out.

Chimp 2: What kind of car?

C1: What kind of car? A damn penguin car, all right! Anyway, he goes across the street to the 7-11 to kill some time and get an ice cream. Penguins love ice cream.

C2: Really?

C1: Sure! But because he's got no hands the poor little guy gets the ice cream all over his beak.

C2: This going somewhere?

C1: So he goes back to the mechanic. The guy tells him looks like you blew a seal. The penguin tells him no that's just a little ice cream.

18. The anonymous Osama ad is over the top
Edited on Tue Dec-30-03 03:42 AM by mouse7
There's no way to make whichever candidate (or group of candidates) who produced the ad responsible for the content in the ad. The ad was a blatent lie, as Dean was the only candidate who really was against the Iraq war but still favored continuing in Afghanistan. Dean was the only candidate that proposed a policy that was really would have gone after our real enemies in Afghanistan.

Musharrif nearly got blown to itty-bitty pieces by the same Islamic radicals that are moving back and forth over the Pakistan/Afghanistan border. Dean's piolicies would have seriously decreased the chances of that happening.

The anonymous Osama ad is politics as usual, and Dean shouldn't whinge about it.

It's only an unfair attack when it is against ANOTHER Democratic candidate. :)
