Did I just step through a time portal and go back 20 years?
WTF is up with all the Reagan threads?

Is this groupthink or did I miss a memo?

1. People are trying to spin something Obama said.
They are trying to bring up all the horrible things Reagan did in order to connect them to Obama. I am sure someone will post the link with their own spin to it. This is just my take on it.

3. Reagan is the new hero around here, and Bill Clinton was nothing more than a bum.
That's the memo I got, check your inbox.

4. Interpreting a comment in a narrow-minded way.
Obama made a comment about Reagan and because he invoked the name, everyone's going nuts. Obama did NOT praise Reagan's policies, did not say he was a wonderful man, did not proclaim him as a role model. He merely stated Reagan's ability to transform the Rebuplican party. It's very true Reagan got a lot of Dems and Independents to vote for him.

9. Yes he does, and he's using Reagan as an example.
I see nothing wrong with strengthening the Democratic Party by welcoming every American to become one of us and vote Democratic. I was thinking about what happened with Reagan in reference to my own experience. I was a kid but remember in the area where I grew up, Democrats were jumping ship like crazy and voting for Reagan (including my parents). My grandmother, bless her soul, was the only one who hated him. Reagan's legacy extended long beyond his years as president and my parents along with a lot of others, continued to vote Republican - voted for Bush. Now is the time for them to come back to the Democratic Party and they know it. They've had a realization and it's happening all over the country. Problem with that is - they don't want Hillary as she's too divisive. Obama or Edwards are the only one's who can bring them back.

7. Congratulations.
All this means is that you did NOT drink the Kool Aid. Obama news: The more we learn about him, from his book, to his recent quotes, the more we learn he is a "Reagan Democrat." He even said Reagan was a good president just recently. That's why some of us are educating people who are fine and dandy with that, with a few threads pointing out what it was really like under Reagan's Reich.

8. Obama committed the sin of mentioning Reagan's name.
