Say what you will but HC was the first to propose and explain a stimulus
package for this dying economy. That's real leadership. The others have since jumped on the bandwagon and presented similar proposals.

You may not like her but she knows what she is doing. From being governor's wife and understanding what states face to being First Lady and having Bill Clinton as a partner and/or mentor, she has become a gifted leader and audacious competitor. She can think on her own and that is what this nation needs when dealing with foreign leaders who outsmart us all the time. They take from us and give little in return. Hillary will not even try to look into a person's soul but she damn sure will stare them down on issues and actions.

2. What dates are you using?
John Edwards announced his on December 22, 2007, before the bad economic news was released.

Hillary announced hers on January 11, 2008.

7. Sorry, I stand corrected about the release dates. Edwards did talk about his in Dec.
Too bad it got little press and he wasn't savvy enough to present it in the debate the other night. I think HC's plan is better and more comprehensive and her savvy is more likely to get stuff like this done as President.

But you are correct, Edwards was first.

8. Hillary was able to design her plan after she know the specifics of what was needed.
The bad economic news was available to her, it was not to Edwards. I'm sure Edwards will revise his plan given the latest economic news.

9. NOT TRUE- EDWARDS was way ahead of her
read Krugman's column in the NYT Monday: "On the Democratic side, John Edwards, although never the front-runner, has been driving his party’s policy agenda. He’s done it again on economic stimulus: last month, before the economic consensus turned as negative as it now has, he proposed a stimulus package including aid to unemployed workers, aid to cash-strapped state and local governments, public investment in alternative energy, and other measures."
