Does your state require City Council or County Council to transcribe their regular meetings?
By transcribe I mean a written transcript.
The reason I am asking is a local tv reporter is trying to suggest that there are states that require it and therefore our city council should be also.
By definition transcribe also includes a video recording. Most states do not even require that. But most states probably require that if a video recording or written transcript is made it must be available for inspection to the public.
