Come on Seattle, you need to represent...I know it's just one poll, but how in the hell can McCain lead in a place like Washington....I can accept places like Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, etc. will always be red states, but it's quite a sickening feeling to imagine places like Washinton, Wisconsin, Michigan could turn red in 2008....

We need to nominate the MOST electable candiate (especially if their nominee is McCain), of course, the debate rages as to who that is...

1. "We need to nominate the MOST electable candiate "
Hillary's negatives will be the deciding factor if she's the nominee.

2. As a lifelong resident of Washington state, let me say this for the record.
1) Hillary Clinton is NOT popular up here. Maybe with a handful of DLC'ers on the Cantwell staff in Seattle. But nowhere else.

2) Washington, sadly, isn't as "blue" of a state as most people think. The truly solid "Blue" core is the I-5 corridor from Olympia to Seattle. The rest of the west half of the state is purple at best. East of the mountains, it's mostly bright bloody red. Thankfully, the Blue area has the population density to offset the freeper wackadoodles.

The Republican party up here is ruled by the religious reich types, and that doesn't always play well in the purple areas, which is why we haven't had a Republican governor since the early 80's (and he was an old school Republican) But in a Hillary vs McCain matchup, they would go for McCain. You can bank on that.

Just another reason why Hillary must NOT be the nominee.
