Poll question: Why are you voting in the 2008 Presidential primary?
I don't know who I will vote for on February 5th. Am I voting for the convention delegates or only for the candidate I like the most on the ballot?

1. Other: Out of dumb habit, since my state has no delegates.

2. so that i can do the only thing that will legally matter
As much as I shout fire no one wants to listen. I will vote because that is all i can do. As much as I would like for my will to be down with regards as to the state of this nation my will won't do anything. It is a futile act at best but it is the most that i can do.

and a right to bitch if I don't like the way things turn out.

ETA: The same reasons I vote in all the other elections, too-from the school board to the WH.

5. The Right To Bitch...
Pretty much all we can do anymore since we keep finding out how much our votes don't count. I don't know about your locality, but in ours, the school board and borough council run basically unopposed.

4. Actually, I'm running for delegate
pledged to Hillary in Alabama's 7th Congressional District. I want Hillary to win my state, and I would love to go to Denver and represent the 7th for her.

6. this changes for me with each election..
in 2000 I voted for Bradley because I liked his message on healthcare reform, and I didn't want Al Gore to win all the delegates. in 2004 I voted for Kucinich because Howard Dean had dropped out, and he was the only other primary candidate against the war.

I don't know if I should vote for a candidate to give them delegates, to simply make a point, or to send a certain delegate I like who supports a candidate.

7. Because there is a stupid Republican tax bill on the ballot.
I want to vote no on it. Otherwise, my vote here in Florida will probably be meaningless. I'm leaning towards Obama since my first choice, Richardson, didn't make it.
