What would happen if Michelle Obama attacked Hillary as much as Bill does Barack?
I just wonder would there be a double standard? I got the hunch that if Michelle went on a tirade against Hillary, the media and everyone else would destroy her, meanwhile Bill attacks and it's perfectly acceptable. What a double standard!

20. "If you can't run your own house, how can you run the White House?".
Michelle has been credited with making a similar wise crack.

32. Weak.
Michelle was talking about her own family, not the Clintons.

Here is the full quote:
"Our view was that, if you can't run your own house, you certainly can't run the White House. So, so we've adjusted our schedules to make sure that our girls are first, so while he's traveling around, I do day trips. That means I get up in the morning, I get the girls ready, I get them off, I go and do trips, I'm home before bedtime."

3. she would be laughed off as ignorant
and not knowing what she is talking about. While as a ex president we cannot really brush off his childish displayes as lack of decorum or politics. his behavior is very unseemly and unbecoming a man of his position.

10. Yes, it is sad to me that Bill has acted in this fashion
I really did like him, but now his true colors towards our party have shown, and they aren't pretty.

We have a winner. Instead of all this "Big Dog" vs. "runt of the litter" talk, it'd be the 24 hour meow cycle. What a country...

7. I don't believe she would.
Michelle Obama has her moments, but she also seems to understand the concept of tact and discretion. When she does criticize, she measures her words for the most impact, not how many sound bites she can garner.

17. Did a little browsing just now -
Treehouse Foods, derived primarily from Bay Valley, has numerous plants and distribution centers, mostly in the Great Lakes area - Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania - which mean they are likely to all be union shops.

So you equate Michelle Obama working for a union friendly corporation that sells to WalMart - thus re-inforcing the concept that you don't have to be an Asian sweatshop to provide value to WalMart - to Hillary being on WalMart's board and doing nothing about its anti-union policies.

you need to educate yourself.

19. She would be laughed at. Then they would label her all sorts of
things and then imply that she is a bad mother for spending so much time campaigning and not taking care of her daughters.

Double Standard? You betcha and it sucks. Barack Obama is fighting a war with both hands being tied behind his back. Its not fair and I'm tired of dirty politics

21. Michelle - Her Daughters - Her Priorities
It was in fact that very topic, taking care of her daughters AND campaigning that Michelle made the comment that her daughters come first, That you cannot run the White House if your own house is not in order.

The Clintons twisted that as a comment about Hillary. (Hmmm maybe they think it is more appropriate about Hillary!)

25. It is the Clinton Strategy for Bill to attack
While Barack and the media are busy going after Bill, Hillary can run unchecked and unchallenged and win the nomination. It is, so far, very effective. I know it will not work in the GE.

Remember their campaign in 92, all the comments Hillary made (ie: I don't see myself wasting time baking cookies, etc.) distracted the media focus to her and Bill won. He is now returning the favor. He is very good at fake outrage. If there was really voter intimidation in Vegas, why wouldn't the leader of the Democratic Party file a complaint? Who and where are those 8 voters? Just because Hillary won it is no big deal? hmmmm

The Obama camp better start campaigning against Hillary. Let one of his aides correct Bill, it will dismiss him as irrelevant.
