Roseanne Barr SLAMS Oprah and Obama..
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/01/22/roseannes-new-tirade-aga_n_82665.html

"oprah winfrey has refused to do a show with the FIRST WOMAN candidate for President who has EVER won a primary election, in the history of the United States of America. I saw Hilary on the ridiculous tyra banks' show, and fumed. Hilary deserves to have been able to address the huge female demographic that Oprah's billions came from. How very disgusting, and how very very telling!! Maybe if Hilary was discussing her fat thighs Oprah would have had her on. Oprah doesn't really seem to respect the intelligence of her audience at all. Obama slaps the faces of his supporters with his traitorous praise of ronald reagan, the man who singlehandedly destroyed the working people, the economy, and the mental health safety net in this country, and told inner city kids that ketchup was a vegetable. I pray for the speedy failure of his divisive anti-feminist campaign. Oprah COULD HAVE delivered her viewers an audience with the most powerful and successful woman in American politics since Eleanor Roosevelt, and the only democratic candidate who has a prayer of winning this election at the most crucial time there has ever been in this country. I believe its she and David Geffen's plan to elect fellow billionaire Romney. This country's not going to elect a democrat who speaks well of republicans and reagan, like Barack Hussein Obama does. Wake Up! Diss-ing women's century-old fight for political representation of their voice makes me SICK"!!!

1. I think Camp Hillary is welcome to Roseanne's endorsement.
I don't think Edwards or Obama are particularly interested in seeking it.

14. Obama's praise for Reagan apparently reignited Roseanne's fuse
She made a half-assed apology after the first rant, not taking any of it back, but clarifying that she didn't hate Oprah and Barack, and would be happy to vote for Barack in the general, because he's obviously better than any Repug. I don't think Roseanne's going to make any apology this time though, the Reagan stuff seems to have been her final straw with Obama. (although I'm sure she'd still vote for him in the general, given no other choice)

3. How long will it take the terminally deranged drunken woman
to apologize this time? Never could stand that wretched thing. She's a monumentally stupid wretch. This piece is only marginally more literate than her last screech, and even crazier.

I'd be incredibly embarassed to post anything so bizarre.

24. It's like the really, really dumbed down version of Gloria Steinem's op-ed.
Which is probably why I find it amusing rather than offensive, as I found Steinem's piece.

17. Her show is a classic, and very progressive sitcom, still widely seen in reruns
Anyone with taste and intelligence knows the show was had way above average writing and acting. And what other sitcoms realistically portray the lives of the working class? Have there been any others? I can't think of any, not in the league of Roseanne. Overtly feminist sitcoms are also rare, as are pro-gay sitcoms, especially when it's a family sitcom. Roseanne's show didn't have the rare "tolerance for gays" episode, she had multiple gay characters, her friends and coworkers. Roseanne's show represented liberal family values, and as a progressive, I'm very appreciative of the fact that it's out there, continuing to promote those values to public. But since she dissed your precious Obama, of course that's all you care about.

18. Sally Struthers was on All In The Family
Historically one of the most socially important television shows of all time. The show ended in 1978 and then she did commercials on TV about getting your high school degree. Now I should give a shit about what she has to say? The answer is no. I don't care what TV show you were on or what movie you starred in. Get into activism or I don't care. Your opinions are just as valuable as mine are and no one is quoting me.

If you have information on her that she is seriously working on a campaign or as a social worker or whatever then she is culturally relevant and hence answered by original question.

15. I usually agree with Roseanne.
I like her daredevil attitude.

but she's way off the mark on this one.
I think she's too into the 'first woman president' thing instead of the best person available (pretty short list I admit, but still).

16. Roseanne was backing Bush just 5 years ago
appearing at GOP fundraisers shortly after 9/11.
Not to mention the way she gave Paula Jones a regular forum on her talk show back around 2000.

How soon we forget.
She's in no position to judge anyone's progressive credentials.

19. She must be drinking again. Her true self shows through every time she does.
Nice of her to use Barack Hussein Obama.

Her posts read like the nonsensical rants of a pathetic drunk.

Why should anyone take her idiotic rants seriously?
