Michelle Obama resigns Board of Directors TreeHouse-largest customer Wal mart

TreeHouse Foods, Inc. announced minutes ago that Michelle Obama, wife of presidential hopeful Barack Obama, has resigned as a director of the company where she served on the board since 2005.

According to TreeHouse's financial filings, Wal-Mart accounted for 16.1 percent of its sales last year, a 37 percent increase from 2005, making the Bentonville, Arkansas retailer TreeHouse's biggest customer by a long shot.

And Obama is accusing Hillary of being on the board while his wife is one company removed from Walmart?

Boy he has guts. He underestimates our abilities with google.

5. Everyone knew this
except you. TreeHouse is NOT WALMART, just like Hanes, or Stanley Tools, or Oster, or Fruit of the Loom isn't. Hillary was with Wal Mart, not Barack, not Michelle. Got it?

19. I know it's really bizarre...
It's just like Hillary trying to make the claim that there is no difference
between herself and John Edwards on lobbyists having influence over their
campaigns.

Because some of John's people have brothers and cousins who are lobbyists,
that's supposed to be the same as Hillary drowning in lobbyists money from
the banks, pharmaceuticals and healthcare industry.

I supposed Bill boinking an intern and Edwards seeing an internist, is
the same thing too.

Yup, looks like EVIL INCARNATE to me. Especially the non-dairy creamer. Guess these are not homegrown American pickles, peppers and stuff that are being processed in CHINA by Chinese slave labor, destroying good American manufacturing jobs, and then are shipped out on SOUTH KOREA-built ships with GREEK owners registered in LIBERIA to poison us all here in the good ol' US of A.

Only Joking, honest.

--> This resignation is interesting. Encourages me to believe that such issues are now being taken seriously. Edit: Correction: were being taken seriously back in May 07.

The trash pick-up service hired by my local Walmart is "one company removed from Walmart."

11. most of the companies are "one company removed"
from walmart. either in production, distribution or consuption or transport. Walmart is the largest conglomerate in america and makes its profits from buying in bulk and offering the largest selection of consumer goods around. Who isn't involved with walmart in one form or another?

You say don't underestimate your powers on google. Well, by the same token, don't underestimate my ability to read your friggin post!

This is so typical of the Hillary Herd. They make up their own reality, and want us to actually believe it. Minutes ago my ass!~

You are insulting and typical of the Herd. A total attempt at deception! Minutes ago. Trying to imply that it was only after Obama's pointing out that Hillary was on the Board of Directors of WalMart. How cravenly deceptive!

Not to mention, Ms Obama was a worker for a supplier of Walmart...sort of like working for Bic Razors or Wrigleys gum...other suppliers.

Get a grip. And start telling the TRUTH for once, herd!

26. Wal-Mart is the largest customer of most producers. Even your local farm "organic growth" food.
I don't understand the hate for Wal-Mart. Yes it busts unions but that will change, otherwise it's ... just another big large corporation that employees lots of people and does business around the world.
