Here is somthing to consider. . .while it will be spun that Barack may win SC because of the Black
vote. What happens if the exit polls show significant gains with the white vote in S.C.? I think the Clinton camp will have a hard time spinning that.

1. I'm certain they have a press release ready for any scenario. If that happens, it will be spun :-)

3. He is a distant third with 17% of the white vote in SC
Is he going to suddenly gain a bunch of ground in a couple of days?

Whites: Hillary 43%, Edwards 30%, Obama 17%
Blacks: Obama 70%, Hillary 15%, Edwards 1%

It is obvious there is a race issue here.

6. Too bad he had to play the race card in a short-sighted attempt to win one primary

9. The numbers speak for themselves
Do you think Obama would be at 70% with blacks if he were white? Would Edwards be at 1% with blacks if he were black? Would Obama, who is doing so well among blacks, be at 17% among whites if he were white?

13. Well....

Does that mean that no white person has ever pulled 70% of the black vote? I doubt it.

You can't claim to know why people make their decisions. There is likely *some* race factor going on, but we can't know to what extent. There is also an experience factor, a gender factor, a policy factor, etc. etc.

You can't know what's in people's hearts and minds by looking at a few numbers.

14. Didn't Bill Clinton pull at least 70% of the Black vote. . .
. . .lets not forget Gore got 90% in 2000.

12. Funny how it's only a "race issue" when it's a non-white candidate.
BTW, Hillary isn't even winning a majority of the whites.

10. they will be unable to spin the win as being solely the AA vote
if it isn't..
if it is..then it becomes fact rather than spin.

11. Republicans malign the minority vote too
Hillary leaving SC says to all minorities that the only vote that counts is the white vote. SC doesn't matter because it's just a bunch of black people voting for a black man. White women in NH weren't dismissed that way. It shouldn't matter who votes in SC, all votes are equal.
