13. It does matter.
Even if the delegates never get seated. The MSM announcing a win in Florida for Hillary, especially if it is a BIG win, will matter a lot.

18. Isn't Obama now running ads there?
I don't remember the details but he claims to have gotten permission from the DNC to run ads or campaign there.

19. Yup. As far as I know they are still running.
The DNC says they had nothing to do with it...and didn't approve. The approval, I think, was from a woman from SC who was involved with the original pledge.

2. Are you going to dig up every freakin poll you can find on every freakin state in the union? Why
don't you engage in some discussion and debate instead of posting endless threads, one after the other, which only serve to divide us and the party?

17. No fucking kidding
The OP has no interest in creating positive energy and making the world a better place. It's as if I am back in Kindergarten with a bunch of snotty nosed kids yelling "But papa, I want an UMPA LUMPA NOW!!!." And, my candidate can beat your candidate up because she is winning this Florida poll by 20 points! So there! :banghead:

7. Hill's numbers may go down in FL if she does poorly in SC.
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 10:27 PM by Dr Fate
Considering that some primary voters still choose her based on perceived elect-ability/inevitability alone.

10. Well, her NH numbers didn't go down after Iowa
...and Obama's numbers won't go down in SC after losing in Nevada...
so I'd like you to explain the momentum theory and why it will only apply in the SC/FL case.

She was up 10-15 points before Iowa.

12. half the vote in florida is absentee/early vote
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 10:30 PM by Herman Munster
and the florida primary will only be 3 days after south carolina so half the vote will be baked into the cake before any results from south carolina are known.

21. If you are right about it being 50%-then good point. But that still leaves another 50%.
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 10:50 PM by Dr Fate
My guess is that even if she wins FL, it would not be by the lead reflected in that poll.

The one thing I am certain about is that nothing is certain. She has had to work harder and adjust her approach since Iowa- I think that is good for her and us- the "inevitibility" thing was not good for anyone.

9. Obama third with white voters at 15% and 61 points behind among Hispanics
This is more evidence of the racial fallout from a week ago.

Blacks: 75%, Hillary 19%
Whites: Hillary 63%, Edwards 17%, Obama 15%
Hispanics: Hillary 72%, Obama 11%, Edwards 9%

23. This is Obama's problem and he knows it

If he takes SC marginally on the 26th, but its short lived the story will be Hillary taking Florida by a massive wide margin on the 29th, 3 days later.

Momentum stopped dead and Florida is a big deal come Nov 5th, That will make a lot of people sit up and notice.

I think we forgot about this, you may say it doesnt count but if Hillary takes it convincingly, and all signs show she will. The perception going into ST will be Hillary took Florida by a mile and SC will be forgotten.

Why post polls to states that won't matter for the Convention just to bash Obama...because that's what this is really about.
