Poll question: Do You Get The Sense That Hillary Enjoys Mud-Slinging Contests?
Watching her, it was clear she was more comfortable with the mud-slinging than Obama was. He looked uncomfortable and pained, even when he was dissing her for Wal-Mart and stuff.

She, on the other hand, looked like she couldn't get enough of it. She would frequently cut him off, interrupt him, and watching that little 'Rezko' moment, it was clear she couldn't wait to get that line out.

In a way, it was comforting if she's going to be the nominee, because you have to be skilled at slining mud and arrows and taking shots at your opponents.

But to me, she seemed to enjoy it way too much - especially when she was targeting another Democrat. Obama might as well have been George Bush because I haven't seen a Democrat go that hard after someone, possibly ever.

Do you think she likes getting down and dirty with this sort of campaign?

1. I think they both were more than ok with it.
They almost seemed to know where each was going. Almost like they were airing the dirty laundry, and getting is out there before anyone faces a puke.

5. I don't understand why this a poll.
I mean, Clinton has already said that these nasty attacks are the "fun part of the campaign".

6. Hillary enjoys running. Obama too - when he gets it right - less when he's on the defense.

Which, I have to say, it's true of any of us.
Considering the "Democrat for a Day, robocalls in Michigan et al, I wouldn't hold Obama as poster boy for clean campaigning.
That was Wes Clark - and we know how that ended.

7. Obama did not seem ready for what she handed him...
And that was somewhat unfair. I think her behavior was not appropriate to a primary debate, and she showed that her ethical bar is set lower when it comes to doing whatever she thinks she "has to" to win.

8. Hillary did a favor for Obama
by mentioning Rezko. There is unfortunately a lot of sleaze around that situation and, although Obama isn't accused of any wrongdoing, his Senate and Presidential campaigns benefited financially from this possible ill-gotten gain.

With the national media all but ignoring it -- his trial begins Feb 25th --, the fact that he now has an opportunity to get his story straight (eg. claiming in the past he had only received $60,000 in campaign contributions and then later it was found to be $168,00) and put to rest any lingering questions is a good thing.

If he continues to ignore the issue and the repugs drown him in the muck of it during the General, he'll have only himself to blame.

9. The purpose of negative campaigns is to drive down turnout.
That might be a way for her to win a primary, but probably not the general election, and it's definitely not a basis for governining successfully.

Because they won't be able to hide from it in the general.
